Work At Home, Crystal Saga, and Taking Arrows in the Knee...

Hey look, I'm alive! Despite the months since my last entry, the gym has indeed NOT killed me, at least not yet. I've just been distracted from BMG by a series of other things, so let's commence with the updates!
For one, some of you may remember my lament a while back about my current job and how I was beginning to just get tired of it all. Well, that hasn't really changed, but at least the whole "this sucks" aspect is alleviated a little now that I'm a part of the WAHA project. Basically it stands for Work At Home Agent, which means after the hassle of getting a copper phone line set up, I was able to collect some equipment and set up shop at home. I work a split shift, from 9am-1pm, then again from 6pm-10pm. The whole 5-hour lunch thing...eh, not as awesome as I expected it to be before joining the ranks of home-working zombies. Also, getting up at 8:30 in the morning sucks balls when I'm used to getting OFF work at that time. Beh, I dunno. This job as a whole is just really not working out for me. I'm sick and tired of dealing with rude people who want to call ME for help, then refuse to listen when I give them troubleshooting steps or want to act like they know EVERYTHING about how Verizon works. Well, if you know so darn much about how to fix the service, why bother calling in for help? You wouldn't believe how many people will bitch about how "that won't work" only to get huffy and pissy when the step in question fixes their problem. And let's not forget those who want to complain for 20 minutes about their service not working, then will go on to complain how long the issue is taking to get resolved. Well, if people would learn to SHUT THE HECK UP for 5 DAMN MINUTES to let me speak...seriously, just do the troubleshooting and get off my phone! -_-'...
Wow, didn't mean to rant there, but it seems I can't talk about my job without some kind of venting occurring. The only reason I'm even still there, tbh, is because I qualify for my 40 hours vacation time in February. Once that's gone I'm SO going to another job that's less stressful.
WELL THEN, ENOUGH COMPLAINING! On to more fun things, I have discovered a browser game called Crystal Saga, and for the past several months is where I have been spending a majority of my online time. Go check it out, srsly. It's an MMORPG, so if you like things like WoW and Runescape, you should like Crystal Saga.
And finally, have you taken an arrow in the knee lately? How about having your sweet roll stolen? Have local guards been stopping you because they know you? No? Then you haven't been playing Skyrim, friend, and for that...you're probably going to not only get smacked by a random Fus Ro Da, but any second a large Dragon is going to drop from the sky and land on you. Meanwhile, all the children will run around and be invincible while the Dragon blasts fire or ice all over everyone and kills your horse.
Yes, as you can tell, the Skyrim bug has bitten me and bitten me HARD. All I can say is ZOMFG SKYRIM = EPIKWIN. I wasn't a very big fan of Oblivion and I hadn't played any Elder Scrolls games before that, but I can say that Skyrim is definitely worth the reduced price to 50 dollars. The world is already huge and dynamic, and with future DLC already in the works, all I can say is this is probably going to be one of the biggest freaking games to come along for quite some time. And I don't mean biggest in terms of popularity and sales, but rather in terms of the game's world. I've heard there's at least 800 hours of gameplay here in just discovering and clearing everything, and that's probably only for 1 or 2 characters. I currently play as a Khajiit archer who also happens to be a Werewolf. I specialize in Stealth, Archery (obviously), and Lockpicking, with a healthy dose of Heavy Armor and Destruction (for offensive spells) as well as Conjuration (Flame Atronarch ftw!). Also because I goofed in the naming process, she got stuck with the name Prisoner, which is kinda cool really. She's currently level 27 and is teh awesome. I also have a level 5 Argonian who won't get the most out of her race's ability to breathe underwater as I HATE doing underwater stuff in games. I dunno why, but underwater levels and such just freak me out. It's the way they look. I'm not at all hydrophobic, so I don't know why the underwater appearance of games creeps me out so much, but eh.
OH! I don't know HOW I forgot this, but I have recently become the satisfied owner of a Nook Color. In my opnion it's worth the 300-dollar price tag, seeing as I'll probably spend well over that amount in books and spiffy apps in the first year of buying it. Oh yeah, I read a lot, and the variety of other useful things like the awesome TuneIn radio app just makes it even better. Add in the fact that I can totally get online with it and browse Youtube or any other site I like and that makes me a very happy customer indeed. If you're thinking about getting one I fully endorse the choice. I got mine from QVC; after taxes and S&H it's about 330, but they have a nice payment system available that lets me make monthly payments of 66.32 to pay for it. It came w/ some preloaded apps and magezines, as well as a nice cover that I got the pick the color of. If you decide to order one from them, don't be fooled by the long estimated arrival date; I ordered mine somewhere around the 13th and the estimated day of arrival was the 23rd. I ended up getting it on the 15th iirc (imagine my pleasant surprise upon getting it so early lol).
So I think that's pretty much it for now. Waiting for Christmas to come around because it'll be my first holiday working, which means holiday pay! And God knows we could all use some extra money no matter what time of the year it is.
QUOTE OF THE DAY:
"I used to catch Pokemon like you, then I took a Master Ball in the knee."
"I used to make blog posts like you, then I then an arrow in the hand."
"I used to make jokes about taking arrows to the knee, then I took a Fus Ro Da to the face and was knocked off a cliff."
"I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took an arrow in the knee while chasing the person who stole my sweet roll."
"I used to have a sweet roll, then it got stolen by an arrow in a knee."
