Art isn't all about getting attention or how many comments it has. Art is a way of expression. The number of comments doesn't determine how good it is, and people aren't ignoring you if they don't write you any of them. It doesn't mean anything.

i know that but i just feel like whatever i do is shit when no one really says anything. and i like critiques so i can get better but no one offers me those. i love what i do but i kinda want some respect you know

Yeah, I get that.

You could send us a link, and we all could gargle your internet balls and drool rainbows in the comments, and try to attract some attention.

Or you could spam it on 4chan or post it to reddit.

I TOTALLY understand your feelings.

All I can say is, don't be a sellout and just do what's popular because for the sake of popularity. Then your creations stop being art.

I think your art is pretty neat. But I know what you mean.

Is there any artistic reviewing system, where you sign up to critique someone's art, and in exchange someone critiques yours. I believe the Writer's Workshop has something similar, but I'm not sure.

Yup. Unfortunately, the Workshop isn't quite as active as it used to be, but there's a review-swapping system in place.

Life is full of disappointments.

And this is just my opinion but if the only thing motivating you to draw/paint/whatever is being gushed with comments and reviews then you maybe shouldn't bother.

Comparing myself to other people is what made me quit things I wish I had stayed on 7 years later.

So I recommend you ask yourself: when 7 years pass from now and you've not done art since then, would you feel any regret?

I sympathize, I really do. :S deviantART is particularly horrible for this. Good luck.

I know that feeling. For that bad art that gots loads of comments - just consider that people commented on the bad art because they just wanted the artist to feel better. If they haven't commented on yours - it means it's perfect.
