Well, you did hack, you can't say you didn't have it coming. Still, I know what you mean about being attached to your Pokemon. I gave up hacking long ago, partly because I actually lost one of my beloved teammates due to improper use of a cheat (it was a warp code in Emerald; as soon as you activate it, next time you go through a door/ladder/stairs/whatever, you wind up in Mirage Tower; I was using it to steal rental Pokemon from the Battle Factory, but forgot to deposit my Fly user in the PC before doing it, and wound up erasing my beloved Pelipper), and partly because all the hacked Shinies I had were causing me so much guilt it was making me sick to even look at them. I wish you didn't have to lose your team, but I'm glad you learned your lesson.

So yeah. I'm sitting in Accumula Town with a lv. 7 Oshawott. ;_;

Hacked pokémon don't do these things. It just doesn't work that way.

The whole "oh no hack gives you virus and the game becomes infected!" is the Gen V Bad Egg and Pokegods, to trick people into deleting their games. (Like you just did)
So don't believe those rumors, nor spread them.


It IS true that the game and the servers do have a bunch of checks... but in-game ones are to prevent the game from glitching up. (The sole exception is a function that checks the hardware itself, and prevents pokémon from gaining experience points if something doesn't match)

The server ones kick in when you are trading on the GTS or battling on official events. And even then, they check just for impossible things they haven't allowed. (Pokémon with moves outside their complete learnsets, for example) And the effect this could EVER have is at WORST getting blacklisted.


The reason your game started to glitch? I don't know. But I'm sure it is unrelated to having had a ditto that for all purposes ceased existing anyway the moment it set a flag of having traded with an NPC.

There, there...it's alright...it's not the end of the world...do a Nuzlocke...something.

edit: @Infinity Mk-II; I'm not actually too sure why the game started glitching, but the game started acting up after I'd gotten the Pokémon, so I'm almost sure it was the hacked Pokémon that was glitching it. At least since restarting that it hasn't lagged or anything, so I'm not too concerned at this point. I mean, I can't suggest any other possibilities for why the game might have started glitching, so I'm assuming the hacked Pokémon was the reason. Thanks for explaining to me why it wouldn't be, though. ^^;
