Well, the slow zombies I don't really see as a proper threat, the only reason people die in the Romero movies is because the characters are mindless idiots and then when it comes to the fast new agey zombies they almost always turn out to be like pseudo-zombies, so I don't even know wtf they are. At least with Resident Evil you know where you stand. Also, I like that even though at the end of each RE film the main characters live (well, mostly) the world keeps getting more and more apocalyptic with each installment. Its really strange, in a good way.
Real life zombies.

Nazi Zombies are the best, and then you have the unkillable Zombie Dogs.

Mutating? Like the Special Infected? I like fast and mutating zombies for a challenge. Voltron in the closet can handle most of them.
