I don't think turning off the tags was too extreme, but I wish there were a way to do it without inconveniencing those who do use them.

Things I wish could be switched off just as easily:

- Just the idiotic blog tags.
- Just the idiotic blogs.
- Just the idiotic users.
- Just the blogs with butthurt.
- Just the blogs with bitching.
- Just the blogs with whining.
- Just the blogs with "A boo hoo hoo waah waah waah mommy the other kids said I was a doodoo head!"

I want to puke, but I may just vomit a bunch of slips of paper with STFU scrawled on them.

Actually, tags have been disable while the system is being fixed during this weekend (hopefully).

But yeah, I agree with you about the idiotic blog entries, etc. D:

Well, when I said switching off the tags was extreme, I meant it as in ends of the spectrum (where the other is being full of tag inserting), not extreme as in "extreme measures" or extreme as in "YEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHH DUUUUUUDDDDDEEEEEE!!!!!!".

It's a stepping stone to a better tommorow, of course. :) But I do agree on the butthurt, bitching, whining, and the boo hoo hoo waah waah waah - which are harder to prevent and should just be ignored like some should've been.
