So I got banned for a while. Shit happens. I'm normally a pretty mellow guy, and I try to avoid being a snarky sarcastic internet-thug, avoiding all the pecking order bandwagons and all that. Sometimes, though, my inner jerk takes over. Especially when I think of something witty which just is too good not to post.

Anyway, when I read I got banned for "Insulted other member(s), abusive language, flaming", I figured it was one of those posts that got me those last 5 infraction points. Imagine the sheer levels of WTF generated when I discovered it was because of this post:

No, it actually isn't that cool. Dutch accents are terrible.

Sometimes I wish I were French. The French sound sexy. The Dutch sound like a bunch of drunkards speaking Klingon with a mouth full of broken glass.

Really? Saturn? That's worth five infraction points? For someone in the cool kids club, that's not very cool.

An accent is a stereotype. It was a thread in a social group of friends, so really don't see how it is 'flamebait'. Furthermore, it's not like I'm just talking out of my ass, I'm Dutch myself.

Meh, nevermind the whole ban. What happened, happened. I'm just kinda annoyed that Saturn went all banhappy in a social group over that. I must've pissed him off or something. Maybe I should just keep my mouth shut and go back to lurking. :/
