Guess which Pokémon didn't disappoint? Yes, Matsya was very helpful. So helpful that she took on Roark all on her own.

She started by pulverising the gym trainers with her Bubble attack. After we defeated the pair, we moved on to Roark. The battle was ridiculously easy. We used Harden six times, then Recover, then Bubble, and his Geodude fainted. We then used Bubble on Onix, and it fainted. Cranidos came in, and we used Bubble, which was a Critical Hit, but he survived. A Potion later, and Cranidos was at half of his health.

Another Bubble, and another Critical Hit.

In short, Matsya has shot to become one of my favourite Pokémon, and it carried the Corsola line with it. For some reason, I've been liking more and more Generation II Pokémon, but it is still my least favourite Generation. Of course, I won't get to use Matsya against Gardenia, because she's a good Pokémon capable of taking hits, but I'm not an idiot.

In other news, Kalki evolved into a Grotle, and she is still one of my favourite Pokémon ever, proving the Torterra line to be the best Starter Pokémon.

Now, we'll train Krishna up so he can take on Gardenia, and hopefully, he fares as good.
