I decided to mess around on Nintendo WFC earlier today and I had a good doubles battle against an opponent who also happened to be using a VGC team. I made a few misplays, but the match was enjoyable.
The team I used in this battle isn't quite complete, but it has been performing better than expected. Most notably, I made a serious comeback with it and only lost 1-0 against Lamppost, a suspect voter and tutor on Smogon.
I recently went looking for battles in the SPPf Wi-Fi chat in order to test out my new B/W Wi-Fi team. After battling against two disconnectors, I came across someone named "Yang." I accepted his battle request and we had a good fight. He used an interesting Hail team that I thought was a nice change from the usual Rain/Sand/Sun teams that currently dominate the BW OU metagame.
This past Thursday, I was looking for some battles to test out my newest team. I battled three people from Serebii and one person from mtgxerxes's chat. The first Serebii battle was a decent match, but I lost because I made a crucial misplay near the end. The second Serebii battle and the battle from mtgxerxes's chat weren't worth uploading because my opponents used weird teams and I won by a fairly large margin. I had a battle earlier today with someone who was looking for a battle in MTGxerxes's xat chat. The person claimed to have the "greatest team ever" and wanted to find others willing to face it. I wasn't really ready at the time, but I decided to battle anyway. His team turned out to be incredibly strange and full of gimmicks. I normally wouldn't upload something like this, but the battle was pretty hilarious at times.
Last night, I battled Johto Trainer for the first round of the Yankee Swap tournament. It was a decent match, but neither of us played especially well. I was a little surprised that I was able to take the lead early in the game. Eventually, however, I lost because I made a major misplay near the end.
Despite my first round loss and the long wait, I actually
