With all this discussion about a Dragon-type prodigy who has much stronger Pokémon than her age, experience or training would allow her to solely to showcase her as a legitimate threat especially against other people(and her idol) and to make a main characters who she faces off against's progress seem more important than it is in an artificial way and who writers seem to be having difficulties about how she should interact with other characters that is in a series that desperately tries to regain it's former glory in 90s; I thought it would just make sense to bring another episode that features a Dragon-type prodigy who has much stronger Pokémon than her age, experience or training would allow her to solely to showcase her as a legitimate threat especially against other people(and her idol) and to make a main characters who she faces off against's progress seem more important than it is in an artificial way and who writers seem to be having difficulties about how she should interact with other characters that is in a series that desperately tries to regain it's former glory in 90s.

And no, as title spoils to you, it's not Ursula(shocking, I know). Or Trip. Becuase Serperior is not a Dragon-type you silly dog.

And since I don't have access to a translation of the script of this episode, it will be bare bones with what I remember from dub filling in.

PS: Nocte of Desperatio is good track to write about dragon lolis.

PS2: I already have a detailed riff on the dub version, so I won't be discussing many of the things I did there. You can see my old post here( link )

Even after a year and different VAs, my opinions about this episode didn't change... much(Aside from hula appeal and partially flying most definately floating Munchlax). But I was watching it so I could draw Brianna more often and better, so it will accomplish that hopefully.

Another fun fact: Brianna's Japanese name, Wakana, means "Harmonious Music". All of her Pokémon have a line member that is infamous for it's incredibly annoying wing clapping sounds(Masquerain who has Bug Buzz, Vibrava who has his dex entry and namesake), in addition to her lack of harmony in her inherent nature as a crazyass fangirl. However, it also works in a straightforward manner, as Flygon is known for it's singing-like wing claps, not to mention Brianna has Pokémon from a pond and a desert, albeit that is more likely to be because her living in a vacation resort in addition to her Pokémon being unevolved versions of Drew's, showing her admiration towards him. But her attempts at forming relationships despite not being too much emotional for it definately goes for both sides of arguments.

The title is confusing me. Are we talking about Iris or the original Japanese version of that Hoenn episode?
