If you've noticed that I haven't been on BMGF for the past week or two or so, I'm very sorry. I decided to take a break from the internet for a while. Also, during my hiatus I got addicted to another series. A few weeks ago I just purchased an Xbox 360 slim 250 GB and Call of Duty: Black Ops and just recently Call of Duty 4. Black Ops as well as the other games in the CoD series are so addictingly fun it's not even funny.

At first glance they may seem like your average war games, but trust me, they're not. Each of the Call of Duty games take place in a specific war and have their own storylines, unique characters, and extremely captivating multiplayer modes.

For example, CoD: Black Ops takes place during the Cold War (And partially in the Vietnam War) and most of the campaign missions you play are a series of flashbacks of the main playable character, Alex Mason. Mason is part of the CIA and SOG team who are trying to figure out about Nova-6, a biochemical weapon that the Russians are planning to use against America. You eventually stop them, but it is revealed at the end that Mason has been brainwashed by the Russians and that some of the things experienced throughout the game may have just been hallucinations caused by the brainwashing. Oh, and that the Russians have brainwashed your character as a ploy to
Big WTF moment right there.

Black Ops' characters were also awesome. Especially Mason's friend and superior, Sgt. Frank Woods. He's too badass for words. So badass that he won Spike's Video Game Awards as the best character of the year! Actually, if it weren't for the fact that he's just a video game character and I'm straight, I would totally go out with him despite the age difference.

And finally, I've seen Unova's Pokemon's names. And I have to say that...

...They're disappointing to say the least...

Seriously? Throh, Sawk, Swoobat, Roggenrola, Scraggy, Scrafty, Amoonguss? I could go on and on about how horrible and unfit, IMO, the names are. Only a select few actually stand out as good names to me such as the Lillipup line, Pidove line, Gothita line, Axew line, Durant (IDK why, though), and Sigilyph.

Oh gawd, Haxorus is the best name ever...

That being said, I know I'll eventually get used to them, but...

First off, Dusknoir's line typically has extremely high defenses. It has so many priority attacks at its disposal such as Shadow Punch, Shadow Sneak, and Sucker Punch as a tutor move in Platinum which pretty much makes up for its low speed.

-Also on the topic of speed, Dusknoir is an amazing Trick Room user. Using Dusknoir and Trick Room in a double or triple battle with slow teammates is a great strategy. Even better if said teammates know a move such as Surf since Dusknoir will take hardly any damage.

In-game, the Dusknoir line pwns. They won't go down easily because of their defenses. They have type advantages over Fantina, Maylene, Lucian, and arguably Dahlia's first set of Pokemon.

Did I also mention that Dusknoir can learn Rock Smash, Strength, and Flash? Not much, but still quite a few helpful moves.

Lastly, a Sassy natured Dusknoir is pretty much the best you can get for the species. Sassy natured Pokemon get their Sp. Defense raised and Speed lowered. Great for a Trick Room using Dusknoir. Sassy natured Pokemon also prefer bitter Poffin and berries, so they do well in Smart contests. Perfect for a Sassy Dusknoir with Trick Room/Shadow Punch/Sucker Punch/Shadow Ball. All of the moves are smart except for Trick Room which may help in contests since all the other moves rely on turn-based strategies.

On another note, does anyone think I should buy a JP Pokemon Platinum off of Play-Asia as a Christmas gift to myself? I mean, it'd be a good collector's item, but...

I already have the English version, though. It's my favorite game in the series after Black and White, and there is no way to get some Sinnoh Pokemon to my Black without it. You can't transfer Pokemon from an English cartridge to a Japanese one, I guess, and I really want the Sinnoh Dragon trio, Sinnoh starters, Gible line, and Legendary Birds among others.

I'm thinking about selling a couple of my Wii games to purchase one. I also have a coupon from Play-Asia that expires on the 11th of this month, so I don't want it to go to waste.

What do you think? And Oshawott? OMIGOD, TPCi, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY POOR MIJU?!?!?! Oshawott is just a cluster of various words and doesn't sound cute like Mijumaru did. Why did it have to be poor Miju? ;_;

And finally Unova. Unova sounds cool on its own, I admit. Though, it just sounds odd as the name of a main series region. Unova would've gone well for a region in the Pokemon Ranger series. Almia, Oblivia, Unova. See?

There is an AdvanceShipping page on Facebook. People were discussing various hints in said page, and most of the AdvanceShippers on it still believe that the Kiss Under the Mistletoe episode is real. I've been posting my opinions and such, even telling them that the whole thing is just a false rumor, yet they still continue to post things like "It was banned in Japan since parents complained about the romance" and "It aired only once and no one knows why it's never been shown again." Not to mention that they posted other stupid things that they passed off as hints.

No offense to anyone. I'm a diehard AdvanceShipper, too. It's just...ugh. Seriously, the episode is already confirmed false. It's like counting the dub-added hints for PokeShipping, but worse. o_o

I mean there are quite a few things pointing to it:

-Brock might be leaving according to that preview. Black/White might be replacing him, sao then Dawn can stay as the 'traditional' coordinator of the group.

-Dawn has yet to defeat her main rival, Zoey. Even though it may not be the biggest thing, it's never happened to any other characters. Ash defeated Gary and May defeated Drew, Dawn hasn't. It's like she hasn't recieved proper closure yet.

-Kenny wants Dawn to go with him. So he battles Ash, if Kenny wins Dawn 'has' to go with him. Dawn seems like she doesn't know what to do. She obviosly doesn't go with Kenny...

-Dawn can always be there to advertise GenIV, which is on the same console as BW. DPPt are very marketable games, why discontinue even slight advertisement.
They can always advertise BW and just throw in little hints of DPPt here and there.
