Tokyo Game Show boils down to two words: Controlled Chaos
We got there and luckily and had a very nice french man lead us from the train station to where we needed to go. We got in line with sweltering 85 degree heat in high humidity, the lines were counting down to us and it became rather unbearable however there was a bright mark... We were standing to the two original Saban Producers to THE MIGHTY MORPHING POWER RANGERS!
So we picked his brain for a hour about Sentai, the history of Power Rangers, EVERYTHING!
We finally got inside and its basically three darkened convention centers put together, 100,000 people running around inside, tv screens blaring in every direction, and people screaming at you to visit their booth.
This was Tokyo Game Show
So I spent my first hour actually visiting the smaller booths that represented countries from Vietnam to South Korea and everywhere in between. I was hoping to get a job first and foremost so talking to these small studios was incredibly important to me.
I eventually made my way to the lunch area and tried Dominoes which was a pizza with mushrooms and bacon on it x.x
Funny note, is that while in line I got to talk smack to a Oakland A's fan, at the time of Tokyo Game Show, the A's and the Texas Rangers were in a close playoff race.
After two hours in line I finally tried the game and... GOT FIRST PLACE!!!!
Anyway at the end of the day we had to leave around 5 PM, I made a ton of contacts and talked to a ton of people. We got back to the hotel and had dinner at KFC before retiring to bed, watching Transformers 3 on TV in Japanese.
