Spoilered just in case.

Bear in mind most of what I've said come from different analogy videos from Youtube and not what I've made up.

Agree/disagree? Other ideas? etc.

I agree with you on all points except for the 'no bad team' part. Every region has had an evil team or a group of bad guys and this one will be no exception, imo. Simply because it wasn't revealed does not mean that it won't be there. Although, I would be grateful to GF if they managed to find some way to replace the usual villain team (let's be honest, Team _____ got old long time ago) but still provide us with some conflict like in the usual games. It would truly be refreshing.

I don't think it's safe to presume much at all at this point.

Game Freak have been showing lately that they can actually do things that aren't entirely predictable.

Yeah, I don't think it's safe to presume anything either. It's fun to speculate, but things are far from locked in place at this point.
    Karamazov likes this.

    -Final starter Evos will be:

    Grass/Dark
    Water/Fighting
    Fire/Psychic

In the trailer each starter does a STAB move followed by a move of presumably there other typing. The non-STAB moves appear to be Night Slash, Close Combat and Psychic. The dual-types also work in how each Pokemon will have a Super Effective STAB on the Pokemon they are traditionally weak against.
This theory is pretty stupid by itself, but going as far as saying it's safe to presume their types because of this is really pushing it.

Oshawott should be a Bug type because it can use Fury Cutter.

I'm not really sure you know what that word means if you think it's applicable to this situation.

I disagree with the type of final starter evos. Grass/Dark and Water/Fighting might be unbalanced because Fighting-types are super-effective against Dark-types. I reckon Chespin should be part-Fighting-type upon evolution, and Froakie's evo should be Water/Dark-types.

Though, I'm agree that Fennekin will getting Psychic-type upon evolution. And I think he might be based on folklore Kitsune (especially nine-tailed demon fox).

I'm not sure you quite understand the reasoning there. See, if it's part Fighting, Froakie's evolution wouldn't be totally outclassed by Chespin's.

If Chespin's evolution was part Fighting and Froakie's was part Dark, then it would just be the same old, same old. It's kinda like what the Sinnoh starters tried to do. Ground gave Torterra a change against Infernape. Fighting gave Infernape a chance against Empoleon.

Also, we already have a kitsune Pokemon. Ninetales.
