My ten year old brother is a genius

He's kind of bad at most subjects but he has the maths gene of my family, except he has a mutated super equivalent of it.
I asked him to find the sum of every whole number from 0 to 100. I remember someone asked me that years ago and I was too lazy to try. However, I understand how when someone explained it to me. I believe it was Gauss who came up with the solution when he was presented with the question as a kid. My brother had the answer in literally thirty seconds, same as dat Gauss.
He hasn't even done the 9x tables yet in school and he had the answer so quickly. Bear in mind this is literally one of many maths challenges I've given him and he always gets them. He didn't quite comprehend the notion of variables but he could still get the answers when the questions didn't involve more than one variable or roots, but still it's really impressive when you look at how he fares against others in his class.
