A brief summary of my first week back at school.

I started school again on the 23rd, js.
It could've gone much better imo. Since I was transferring back to my local district from online schooling, there were a NUMBER of difficulties as a result. Right off the bat, we realized my bus wasn't coming to pick me up on the first day, so I had to be driven to school. My little sister had to tag along too, as she wouldn't be riding a bus this year. We decided to drop her off first, only for her to get cold feet and be a sociophobe about getting out of the car. -.-; Even when my mom pulled up somewhere farther away from where most of the other kids were sitting at, she still made us eat up like 10 minutes. After finally getting her dropped off, we got stuck in a traffic jam on the way to my school. >_> (This was because of construction taking place on the school parking lot, forcing everyone to take the same road to drop their kids off.) It took another 10 or 15 minutes to get out of that. Still got to school at a reasonable time, so you might be wondering... besides simple annoyances, what really went wrong?
Well, I had to get a copy of my schedule from the counselor, only to be told that they were only seeing new students. >_> I was directed to the cafeteria where the schedules for non-new students would be found, only for them to not have mine at all. I was directed to the attendance office, where they didn't have my schedule anywhere in their computer system. -.-; After a little squabbling, we finally found out where I had to go, and I got my schooling on track.
...then lunch arrived. I was supposed to still have a reduced lunch paper in effect from my previous stay at the school, but apparently it was taken off the records after I started online schooling, so they tried charging me the full price. I had to convince them that I would pay them back.
Just when everything seemed to be on track... my bus failed to show up to pick me up when I was scheduled to leave because I STILL wasn't in the system. >_> (I get off school early this year, around about 12:30 in the afternoon.) I had to call my mom up to get a ride home. -.-; Yeah. Really big headache of a first day. The next day? I got picked up like I was supposed to, but had to skip breakfast and lunch, because my new reduced lunch/breakfast paper still had yet to be verified. >_>
Ugh. They had several weeks to put me back in the system, but they procrastinated. I guess it COULD have gone worse, but that doesn't mean it still didn't test my patience. I can only look forward to how next week will go. -_-;
