Rise of the Planet of the Apes Review

Hi, today I saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes and I want to share my thoughts on it. But, instead of posting them on the Forums, I thought I'll post them here, on my blog.
In case no one wants to get Spoiled I'll wrap tham in Spoiler tags.
Like someone already said on the web, the concept of the film is very basic: Apes begin to get smarter by a drug and they take over the world. But how they do it is what it's all about.
Both the Protagonists are very moving and believable, but the one that realy stand out is Cesar, the Chimp! he is so life-like in his expresions and movement that it does not appear to be CG! this proves that Andy Serkeis deserves an Acadamy Award, not just the technical party, as it is clear that it's an acting of one of the grewatest actors of our generation!
Now, to the other actors: the acting is good, but it takes a back seat to the Apes' acting, although there are a few exceptions: John Lithgow is such a great actor that he can make you believe he has Altzheimer's; Tom Felton, on the other hand is brilliant at what he does: being mean. He already proved he can be good at it, in the Harry Potter franchise, but to see him be so mean to a character so relatable, is just facinating! and here I must say three things about Felton's Character, Dodge Landon:
1.2.and 3. Felton needs to work on his American accent, though his was not as bad as Frida Pinto's.
To summarize, this film is one of the greatest hits of not only this summer but this decade, and I think it will be the next Titanic, or the film James Cameron wanted Avatar to be, because it makes the perfect marriage between fine acting and awsome effects.
All in all a 9.5 out of 10!
I hope you enjoyed my review and comment.
Untill next time, never stop dreaming
