The one part of X and Y that I don't want to be explained is

The "No, you're not the one" ghost girl in Lumiose City. A freaky and unnerving scene like that without any explanation would be quite the easter egg. GameFreak's mindscrewing for the sake of mindscrewing. :)

On an unrelated note, TwitchPlaysPokemon is very interesting from a social perspective. I find it to be a commentary on society: the collective wants to progress and move on but the actions of the individual hold it back. It'll be interesting to see how they do the Safari Zone (unless they hack the game and change the step system) as well as how they handle Surfing because as of yet they don't have a Water-type.

People have come up with a lot of theories about her but personally I just think shes a creepy easter egg like the ghosts/eyes painting from the Old Chateau. Some of those theories I find interesting though.

In an interview, Masuda said that we can't remove our hats because it identifies us as the player character. However, that statement doesn't make much sense considering the many NPC's who actually do wear hats.

Perhaps we're "not the one" is the ghost girl saying we aren't actually the PC in this game and we're just one of the many NPC's out there.

What if it's related to some sort of Hoopa event? :O

Interesting. So your theory suggests the scene is unnerving in an existential way, too.

Does anyone know if she said anything different in the Japanese version?

The creator of the stream said he would be modifying the Safari Zone in some way (I would assume he is disabling the step counter)
