All North American winners for HGSS have had their copies sent out. Most of you should have them already.

For our two outside US winners, in Finland and Hong Kong, your Soul Silver copies have arrived with Bulbagarden Admin Satoshi-kun now, and he'll be mailing those off to you this week. With any luck, they should get to you before or just after your local release.

For the record, since people are going to wonder....

The addition of the 3rd server wasn't enough, basically. Well, not for the HGSS launch in any case, it's fine for how we are normally.

To break it down, with only 2 servers, we handled our regular load during the week fine, but when we hit the weekly peak load, you'd get the 503's. With 3 servers, we have CPU load to spare, but when we hit weekly peak load...we're still fine, barely.

But this isn't ...

Just to let you know that I have been working on setting up the latest server over the last week, and have successfully deployed it live today.

The site is now running off all three servers - server load has dropped to about half of what it was previously... which is going to be very useful during peak times, as we were hitting CPU bottlenecks during weekends. We should see a noticeable increase is traffic as this bottleneck no longer exists during peak times.

Should be a thing of the past now. We've enabled things to make it so that new users can't immediately send PM's, post VM's, participate (join, create or post to) in social groups, or send emails to users who've enabled that.

Before someone asks, I'm not going to say what the exact requirements are for those to switch themselves on. If I do, the spam bots will just pick up on it and make that many spam posts before sending their ads.
