Grass Type Trainer

I decided to celebrate the New Year with the final entry of my lists blog instead of some inane, generic "yay 2012 is over and I'll miss it but I'm looking forward to 2013" stuff.

Here, I will discuss my favorite Ground, Rock, and Normal types. Otherwise known as my least favorite types. Not because I dislike them or anything. It's because I nothing them. I don't care about these types at all. In any way. I'm just...bleh about them, y'know?

Because I don't care much for them, there is a severe lack of choices for me here, so I will be including some Pokemon I have posted on earlier lists.

So let's get on with it then...

Ground

So the Ground types...ie the ones I care about the most in this list. There really isn't much to say about them. There are a few I liked, but overall (like the other types on this list,) it didn't ever really make much of an impact on me. Weird, because I do like Grass, which can be considered a sub-category of the "Earth" element (which is what Ground is supposed to represent.) I do like the move 'Earthquake' though. That's always a fun one.

*Gasp* A Grass Starter tops one of my lists? Has this ever happened before? Yeah, my reasons should be obvious by now.
1. It's a Grass type.
2. It's a Grass Starter
3. It looks badass.
4. It is badass.
5. Refer to numbers 1-4.

Rock

Rock types. Yeah....I really do nothing these guys. There are a couple that are pretty nice, I suppose, but I did have to grasp at straws to find five that held my interest enough to put them on this list.

I almost feel like I'm cheating for choosing T-Tar. Almost. It's just that this thing is so insanely badass --from it's design, to its stats, to its ability-- that it doesn't seem fair to compare it to other Rock types. Really, T-tar is in a league of its own.

Normal

Now these guys are the final type to be covered. And boy do I really not give a rat's ass about them. Take away the bird Pokemon (which I mostly see as Flying types anyway) and I got nuthin'. I don't dislike the type, I just don't particularly like it either. So...Uh...well, I guess...here we go?

Note: Yeah, I know it doesn't evolve into a Normal type, but cut me some slack, I'm grasping at straws here. Besides, look at it. It's so adorable I can't even take it.

Okay, this guy actually has served me pretty well a couple of times in Gen IV, and it's still a strong 'mon overall now in Gen V. Plus, it's my best friend's favorite Pokemon (which, incidentally, is the reason I trained one in the first place) so bonus points for that. Snorlax is...well, he's certainly an interesting 'mon. I dunno, something about his personality makes me feel a kinship towards him. Maybe it's that he's a slacker like me. Who knows?

So yeah, that's it for the lists. Honestly, I feel like this segment ended in a whimper instead of a bang. If I had actually planned on doing these ahead of time, I may have saved the Grass, Fire, Water, and Dragon types for last. But alas, such is life. Anyway, I'm already thinking of a new project that's got me all excited and stuff. So yeah, Im'ma go work on that. Cya later peeps.
