We're back again for another Top Ten blog, because they're fun to make. This time we're doing the top ten things that make us uncomfortable, after I did something today that completely ruined both of our moods. I must reiterate that when I mean 'uncomfortable', I mean in both the 'almost pain' way and the 'I don't like doing this' definitions. So, yes. Agree or disagree, propose or cry with confusion in the comments. <3
10. 'That' Noise
I'm referring to that noise that makes you cringe or shiver like a pathetic little baby. The most common one is when somebody screeches the prongs of a fork on a china or glass plate. Mine, personally is when people scratch fabric. My insides feel like they just dissolved when that happens, and I have an overwhelming urge to cover my chest, too. Don't ask, don't judge. Justin's is when someone puts a metal spoon in a glass of jug or something and stirs any form of powder. Custard poweder, curry powder etc. The actual grounding of it makes him a little bit crazy in the head.
9. Sex Scenes
Couldn't really post a picture of this discomfort, really. Admit it. Even though you're a teenager and you've probably seen it all before, or even done it. You're a teenager now, you know how it all works. But your face still goes warm and red and you still look at everyone in the room to make sure they aren't looking at you when you watch a sex scene on TV or in a movie. Who knows why? At least you aren't the only one...
We've all had it before. You disengage from your environmental surroundings to dive yourself into this incredible lemonade flavour ice lolly. If you suffer from sensitive teeth like me, you'll know that firstly, biting into the ice lolly in itself is one of the biggest mistakes of your entire life, but to then go so far as to swallow the same chunk you just bit off... well, that's like telling your mother you hate her. It really is the most uncomfortable thing ever. But albeit, you still continue to chow down on that ice lolly and experience the whole situation again. And again. And again, for goodness sake, put the stick down.
I personally hate standing there whilst my friend talks to someone that I don't know. It makes me feel awfully awkward and uncomfortable. I feel I have to do something with myself like rearrange my bag or pretend I'm texting on the phone. I'm not sure why I do this or why other people do this. I'm not sure some people do. Some people just stand there gormlessly and which the whole ordeal. Meh, who knows.
6. Rude Awakening
Lolpicture. At six we've put in rude awakenings. I simply can't stand it. I hate the feeling of being woken up when somebody has just made some bigass noise or is talking right where you're sleeping. Or, the dreaded alarm clock. Luckily, with new technology, the alarm clock will be extinct by 2017, so. You almost feel a slight twinge of pain as you wake up from your muscles (which is your body kickstarting at pretty much reactivating them) which is always pleasant. Your face always looks like you've just been plowed through a wheatfield backwards, also. It's at it's worse when someone just instantaneously turns on your light because that hurts your eyes on top of everything else.
I'm blessed in the sense that I've never had to deal with constipation before, but I'll go by what my boyfriend has to say on it. Apparantly it's like being kicked in the crotch, only slightly higher. Which, naturally, is never a good thing. Unless you're one of those weird monks that... but yeah. Next time, don't eat your food so bloody fast - that's a pretty simple and easy remedy, I'd say.
I think everyone is a little creeped out when someone starts aimlessly staring at you. Unless, obviously, it's amorous, then I guess that's acceptable. But when it's that batty old lady that you see walking home from Jimmy's house, or that weird guy in the trenchcoat who keeps give you 'the look' on the bus, then things start to get a bit uncomfortable. It's been said that unless you're talking or dreaming, it is impossible to think of 'nothing'. Even when thinking about thinking about nothing, you are thinking. Which means, when someone is staring at you, they're probably talking about you in their head. Punch them aggressively for doing so and then be on your way.
Absolutely full on terrified of them. If given the choice to be shot in the foot or given an injection, I would rather it be the former. The irony is, I have to inject animals almost everyday, so it's a phobia I really need to come clean with. Anyway, injections are uncomfortable, rather than painful. Simply because they inject a usually very tight area (such as a blood vessel, gum or route canal, etc. It isn't enough to hurt like, hurt hurt. But that tiny pinch is just enough to border discomfort/lesser pain. There are degrees of it, you see.
2. Public Speaking
It doesn't take Isaac Newton to figure out that 'pretending everyone is naked' doesn't bloody work. A lot of people are terrified of seeing the sea of bodies more than anything else, I think. Or perhaps it's a fear of embarrassing yourself by slurring your words or something. Some people ever piddle all over the floor because they are so terrified. I think it's something that can be overcome quite easily though. Starting by talking to just one person, two people, four, eight, etc. It helps you be able to talk publicly better. Either way, a lot of people find this one very nervewracking and ultimately, uncomfortable.
1. Paper Cuts
You stubbed your toe. Yeah, it hurt. You broke your leg. Yeah, that really hurt. You got a paper cut. It hurts so freaking much you're going to keel over and die. It's crazy really. Something so small and insignificant could cause so much discomfort and chaos, and why? Because you had to RSVP Veronica before Monday. You're rushing off your feet to make sure all these invites get sent BEFORE the birthday, never minding that the edge of that paper thin side of...paper, has enough velocity and strength in it to full on eviscerate all eight layers of your skin. BUT IT HURTS SO MUCH! ;____________;!
That's all for now, hope you enjoyed reading! <3 Unsure if the 10th image has shown again, so please let me know if he hasn't.
