I keep hitting animals!

Calm down everybody. Not literally!

Anyone who plays Harvest Moon knows how important it is to build a good relationship with one's livestock.
It is very important to gain affection if you want them to produce better quality milk, eggs, wool and earn
more money. However, every time I go to select the brush tool I always seem to accidentally select the hammer
and without thinking, whack my cows silly. This obviously will only serve to lose me love points and make my cows
very stressed indeed.

For some reason, I always pick the hammer and I always hit the cows, I've yet to whack a sheep with my axe. Very strange, or slash a chicken with my sickle.

I'm in an ethical pickle :/

Which Harvest Moon title are you playing? The only ones I've played are A Wonderful Life and Another Wonderful Life. ^^;;
