As some of you know, I do a bit of video game journalism in my spare time because I have no job. Anyway, following the announcement of Microsoft reversing its DRM policies, including its region locking of games, that has left Nintendo as the last major console manufacturer still conducting the practice of region locking, which is silly and needs to stop.

Anyone who knows anything about me will know that for the past few years, I've been working on a novel. For once this isn't a blog with me ranting about Pokémon, anime or some other weird hobby of mine (no, I am not making a "collecting scarecrow panties" blog either). Rather, this is something I had the misfortune of witnessing today.
As some of you probably know, my 8 year old brother Luke has been in hospital for 4 weeks now due to a duplicated bowel and an infected cyst. He is on the mend and if he doesn't spike a fever, he might even be discharged tomorrow (*fingers crossed*).
