"Heart of Gold" under consideration for reworking as film

Having determined that I have no talent in the fanfiction-writing department, I am considering taking a crash course in Blender animation and transferring Heart of Gold: The Kris/Soul Story to YouTube fanfilm.

I have already worked out a few details of such a project: the score would consist entirely of various pieces by Hans Zimmer, and I would provide the voices of Silver, Brendan and Junichi Masuda, among others. I plan to ask Pokenutter if he would be willing to provide the voices of Gold (Ethan), Eusine and Blue, among others.

There is a possibility of the film having a slight jukebox-musical nature, featuring recordings by ABBA, Daniel Powter, Bryan Adams and possibly Queen as well. However, such scenes, if filmed in the first place, would likely be left on the cutting room floor. Fortunately, there's nothing preventing those scenes from being uploaded later as "bonus material".

Personally, I think the story is better suited to fanfilm than fanfic. But that's just me. What do you think?

A film, even a shorter YouTube fan-film, takes a helluva lot more work than just a fanfic. I'd suggest you make sure you are ready for hours and hours of tedious work.

Shorter? What are you talking about? I'm talking feature-length multi-part here. You can't tell a story like this in ten minutes. Yes, I know it will be long, tedious work, but I think the ends justify the means.
