Really don't know how best to preface this...

But for a few weeks now I've been coming to terms with the fact that I dig fellow staffer and all-around brilliant person @Kaori; in a way that was more than just platonic. I figured she wouldn't be interested in a boring, plain old high schooler like me, but on Friday, in a series of events worthy of the most dramatic soap opera, it turned out that, uh, I was wrong. Kind of absolutely, completely wrong. Like, at a "wow, Jabber, how utterly incorrect can you be" level of wrong.
We decided to wait a few days and have time to think before talking about what had happened (as I have the timing of a guitarist hgh on amphetamines and confessed my feelings right before I had to leave for a campout), and so, today, we had that conversation.
To make a long story short, I am the luckiest person on the planet and Kaori and I are a couple. Still trying to wrap my head around that, really! I just know that, wow, I don't think I've felt this inordinately happy in a long, long time.
What a day, man. What a day.
