I need help.

It's not anything serious, but I still need some outside assistance. I am playing the third generation of Pokemon games again, but I am having a hard time raising the level of my pokemon so that they can compete with the E4. I don't have the wireless router that came with the earlier versions of the game or a GBA trading cable, so I am unable to abuse the extra experience that one typically gets after trading a pokemon. I am practically limited to using the resources provided in the game only to help me with my training/level grinding. The problem is that many of the trainers that you can rechallenge with the Vs. Seeker are using weak pokemon; these pokemon are far too low-leveled for my pokemon to gain a lot of experience in a short amount of time. The Pokemon Daycare level-up trick doesn't work either because higher-leveled pokemon will typically take a longer time to level up when you are walking, and they don't gain any valuable EVs since they are not battling any other pokemon.

I am not levelling up for a walkthrough purpose. I have completed the main walkthrough of every Gen III game that I am playing. I simply want to level up all of the pokemon that I haven't really trained when I first played these games, but I am having a hard time after these pokemon are around Level 40-50.

However, I see walkthroughs on YouTube where players manage to get the levels of their pokemon in the mid 50s and 60s before they challenge the E4 for the first time. I am wondering how they manage to do it. It is inconceivable to assume that they ALL use traded pokemon.

Can any of you provide me with some assistance on how to make my Pokemon level up quickly in such a short amount of time?

I always just grinded on Victory Road. But you can always challenge the Elite Four; even if you lose against Drake, for example, you'd still have gotten the experience from beating Sidney, Phoebe, and Glacia.

The best way I always did was challenge the E4 over and over, even if I lose. They give the most amount of experience in the games - aside from the champ.

I had the same problem with my initial run or Emerald. My Pokemon team were all in their 40's by the time I made it to the E4's doorstep :/

I gave up and just went and caught Rayquaza to sweep them quickly so I could gain access to the battle frontier lol
