Musings of a Collegiate Caffeine Addict

If you read a blog entry I wrote a month or two ago, you would know that I mentioned the fact that I was writing a fan fic. Well, not anymore. I wrote about 40,000 words of it before I realized two things: The first was that I couldn't get the cast of characters to feel right (The fic is centered on Ash, May, Brock, Dawn, Misty and Max). And the second was that I'm garbage at writing anything that isn't a battle scene or witty dialouge.

So that's that.

I try to supress the fact that I'm a video game nerd from the general public. And it works for the most part: no one that I know IRL knows that I play any games besides sports, shooters and fighting anymore.

So yeah, I'm off from work today, which is nice. While I love my job (I'm working in the pro shop at an exclusive country club), a lot of the people I deal with suck. Why? Because many of them will do one of a few things:

1. treat everyone in there like they're lower class
2. treat everyone like they have no idea what they are talking about in terms of golf advice, just because of their age or whatever other reasons
3. think that everyone in there is uneducated, and ...

So I'm looking for something to watch on television, and I came across "A Night at the Roxbury." If you want to watch a terrible movie that will have you laughing the entire time at the sheer stupidity, then this is the one. I love this movie, so I'm glad it's on.

Well, it was a rough weekend for Boston sports fans. The Bruins were knocked out of the playoffs in an overtime game seven. The Red Sox lost two of three to Seattle (really? Seattle?). And the most crushing loss of all... The Celtics got dismantled by the Orlando Magic in game seven at home.
