I voted for a guy. The other guy won. But this isn't about that. This is a blog about what I learned in the aftermath.

1. The vast majority of America needs to take an economics course and a civics course. The level of insane claims I've seen from both sides in the past twelve hours is just mind boggling.

2. America is sick. What was once the greatest nation in the world is quickly crumbling. Now before you get the wrong idea, this observation has nothing to do with Mr. Obama defeating Mr. Romney. What it has to do with is the level of unbridled hate I saw being spewed by both sides. It actually made me sick to my stomach. Again I stress I'd be saying this even if Mr. Romney had won.

My point is this. I have always been a proud American. And as such I respect the process that elects a leader. This isn't a blog predicting gloom and doom because Mr. Obama was re-elected. All I'd like to say is that the future of the US depends on us, the people (especially my peers in their 20s). First of all I got a B+ on a midterm I had no business passing. Then my favorite football team won a game they had no business winning.

These two things would have made yesterday a pretty glorious day on their own (and since the football game ended close to midnight, I was expecting that to be the end of it)



But then the best thing of all happened after all of this.


But first a confession. For a couple of months now I've been harboring a deep dark secret (okay fine it's not deep or dark, but let me have my dramatic moment pls). That being that I had feelings for @yourlilemogirl; but I didn't think that she felt the same way or that she'd be insane enough to try and have an LDR (long distance relationship) with me.

But last night she told me how she felt. I admit she caught me off guard, but in that good way... that way that makes you feel like you're floating on air and nothing can go wrong.

My sister got my dad Yankee tickets for his birthday so we made a last minute trip since my mom and sister forgot to tell us lol.

So we got up at six AM this morning, got to Manhattan by nine. A quick stop at her apartment and then we went out again.

We stopped at the 9/11 memorial and spent an hour or so there. It was very emotional, especially for my parents who are New Yorkers and showed us at least two dozen names on the memorial of people who were killed in the attack that were close friends growing up.

So basically I was PvPing with a couple of guildies when one of us (okay me) came up with the idea of turning it into a drinking game.

Our general rules:

First death per match = 2 sips
Each subsequent death = 1 sip

"You are unbeatable / invincible / immortal (the game announces it to the entire warzone, so everyone hears it) = the other guys take 5 / 10 / finish the drink

Victory = 3 sips
Defeat = finish your drink

For each MVP vote you get, the other guys take a sip
double sips if you have the most points

For every medal you earn over eight, they drink. If you don't get eight, finish your drink.

We had a bunch of specific ones for each zone too.

As fully geared guild on vent... We were giving each other sips in buckets.
