So yeah. Today's my 18th birthday, and it's the lowest age you can possibly get a driving license here in Norway. So I decided to get one as early as I could. The entire training-thingy costs easily 4000-5000 $, I don't know how much you guys pay for it. Now, I just need a car, the only car we've got is the family's (a Volvo XC70 for the record), and I doubt I'll buy one in the close future.
And today is election day. Most of you probably don't know or care, but it's still interesting enough I guess. We're not that big. I'll go and cast my vote in some time now. Maybe I'll drive...

6,000-7,000 dollars? Or is that Norway's currency? D= My mom taught me to drive and I got my license at age 16 for $3.50 plus $2 for the permit and $7.50 for the license. It'll go up to $22.50/3 yr license when I'm 21. XD

It cost me around 20 000 NOK I believe, which is not 6000$, I miscalculated it. More like, 4000$? Just the last bill was on 10 000 and something. We have plenty of things we "must" have, so it gets expensive, fast.

Oh well, my dad payed it, I'm not complaining

I used the XE.com convertor of currencies, and it comes around to $3,500. o_o Why do you have to do the training thing??? You're parents can't teach you? D=

Even registration of a new car (After the old one broke down), only cost me $600. o.o

that's really expensive, compared to what it is in the USA.

anyways, congrats on getting your license. Trust me, being able to drive is awesome.
