An Actual New Year's Resolution I Intend To Keep

I never really do the whole New Year's resolutions thing, aside from the common "I'm gonna lose weight", "I'm gonna make some new friends", "I'm actually gonna get a date this year" types that are never kept. Don't make them if you're not going to keep them, right?
This year, I decided to do something a little bit different, something that I really should be able to keep. I know a lot of people out there are probably making resolutions too; some are probably even posting it. Well, I'm gonna post mine anyway so that way there is actually physical evidence that I said it and that I intend to keep it. My resolution this year (at least the only one I have been able to think of so far as being even remotely doable) is to be more of a presence in certain online areas (such as this forum) and decrease my presence in other areas (such as Facebook).
As much as I enjoy getting to know people and finding lost friends, I have come to realize that most of my "friends" on Facebook are actually more of acquaintances or one-time classmates than friends. After realizing this, I decided that I would "cull the herd", so to speak, and start deleting anybody I either a) don't speak to at all, b) never spoke to before, c) never see anymore and/or d) don't really know. I'm hoping that this will allow to grow closer to those friends that I actually do care about.
For the other part of this resolution, I'm hoping to spend more time at certain websites/forums, like here, for example. Here, I'm more of a semi-active member: I'll be here actively for a month or two then go incommunicado for a while before finally reappearing for another couple of months. I don't really like doing that but life does get in the way sometimes and I'm forced to make certain choices in order to stay on top of things. So from now on, I am planning on being a more active, contributing part to those websites and forums, such as this one, of which I am a part. Expect to see more (hopefully) thoughtful posts from me in the forum, especially the PokeShipping thread (which I have been neglecting to read for a long while).
Well, that's it for my New Year's resolutions (so far, that is). And now there is actual, physical proof that I have planned on doing something this year as opposed to last year. I certainly should be able to follow through on this one.
Unless of course, I get caught up in "Skyward Sword". Then all bets are off.
