If anyone was ever actually mentioned pokemon to someone like your grandparents odds are they've never heard of it, my grandparents thought that my DS was a pom pilot :P there responce was that they shouldn't know about this stuff because have no use for it. Face it the elderly does not care about our culture.

Nearly everyone in my school is actually a fan even this beautiful girl in my school, I noticed in her purse she actually had a gameboy and pokemon ruby. There was this one kid who never heard of it, but it's probably because he spends most of his time working in his parents resturant or playing baseball and the only tv he watches is baseball. I really never noticed how popular it still to people in my age group until a became a big fan. Althrough I probably should have known that when I went to a different school, Diamond had just came out and everyone was crowding around the person showing off his pokedex.

My history isn't very clear, I'd actionally watch the orange island or original seires episodes but johto completly lost me so I switch to abc I kind of stated watching agian during the seventh season when te show got more interesting what a shame it got moved about two years later and I couldn't watch it. Destiny Deoxys was the movie I sat through twice (I have the New York and Conneticut WB and the connicut one always has to show this religous thing :P then reshow the programing they skipped the next day.

As for games I always liked them but I'd be horrible at saving money I probably would have stated with ruby if I got into my GBA more, I blame toy's r us for not having mario kart, but I'd still play when I'd be bored at a friends house, I still probably wasn't a big fan back then because I couldn't stand watching my friends younger brother play XD maybe it was because he was stuck on one of the puzzles early in the game. At least now I can sit through a walkthrough, sortof. I didnt buy my first pokemon until December 2007 when I got a DS for Chanikah and then I went to the mall (it was either diamond or new super mario bros) Im now really happy I made that choice and the rest is history. What I don't get is why I'm now so obsessed with the anime.
