Yeah, it's about that time. Yup, I'm making my NFL Playoff predictions RIGHT NOW.

The AFC East: It's pretty obvious that the Patriots win this division. Tom Brady's gonna come back with a vengeance and throw for about 30-33 TDs this year. Fred Taylor could actually be a big help if he's healthy as well. The defense is a little younger, but lacking much in the secondary. Still, I see this team possibly going 14-2.

The AFC North: Steelers win. Another obvious pick in my eyes. The Steelers just have too much on defense. Ben Roethlisberger has the cut out the extracurricular stuff, though. Willie Parker could have a 1,000-yard season. The same goes for Santonio Holmes, too. Steelers, I pick them going 12-4.

The AFC South: Brace yourselves. The winner of the divison will be...................The Houston Texans. That's right, you heard me. Houston WILL WIN the South. I see Matt Schaub going to the Pro Bowl this year and Andre Johnson joining him, as well as about 3 or 4 other Texans. Don't forget Steve Slaton at RB along with a young, tough defense. Houston will go 11-5 this year.

The AFC West: Everybody expects the San Diego Chargers to easily win this division with their "7 Bye Weeks" right? Right? WRONG!!!!! The Kansas City Chiefs shock everyone to win this weak division. I think Matt Cassel has something to prove, as does Larry Johnson the oft-spoken and oft-received runningback. Chiefs will go 8-8 this year.

Wild Card #1: This wild card will be picked by the Cincinnati Bengals. Can you believe it? The Bengals and Texans going to the playoff contenders? Yeah, I can. Carson Palmer is turning out to be the world's biggest sleeper in fantasy leagues and Chad 8-5's gonna get it done too. The defense looks cupcake, but it's a lot better than the Browns, I can at least say that. Look for the Bengals to go 10-6.

Wild Card #2: This berth prediction can get a lot of people mad at me, but I think the Jaguars win this berth. A football plagued by injuries, an Offensive line in shambles, and Garrard seeing the dirt every 15 seconds, I have to be crazy. No, not crazy, just a Jags fan. Anyways, I think the defense comes back to the form it was a few years back, and Mo Jones-Drew rushes for about 1,500 yards. So, with that, I have the Jags going 10-6 or 9-7 with many tiebreak wins.

I don't see how Houston wins the south. Tennessee and Indy are just too good to have fewer than 11 wins each. Houston will be an improved team this year, but that division is just too tough for them to win.

I also don't see the Jags making the playoffs for the same reason. They're the weakest team in that division and they won't be able to win enough games against their division rivals to stay in the race.

I agree. Houston and Jacksonville are the bottom two teams in that division. I know there's surprises every year, but I still think the Titans and the Colts are too tough.

I love the Cincy pick, although they fall into the same situation as the Texans. They are going to be good this year, but there's still two teams in front of them (Pittsburgh and Baltimore, who were both in the AFC Championship last year).

And 8-8 will not win the AFC West again this year IMO. I say the Chargers bounce back with better defense this season. Antonio Cromartie played all last year with a broken hip (ouch), and Merriman is back.

I am obligated, as a Chiefs fan, to love your AFC West pick. xD. I don't see them doing that well, and I personally wouldn't pick them to win the division quite yet, but I'm glad to see someone likes their chances.
