My Thoughts on X and Y

First off: holy crap, Gen. V was rushed. XD
Now we have Gen. VI on the way. And I must say, I'm very happy about that! I wasn't so enthusiastic about Gen. V for some reason, but whatever.
First, the starters.
Chespin: Looks kinda similar to Oshawott, but whatevs. I'm down with a chestnut chipmunk for a Grass starter.
Fennekin: This thing better NOT grow to be another Fire/Fighting-type. The novelty was worn off before Emboar stepped in, Game Freak! That little rant aside, I do like Fennekin so far. It's cute.
Froakie: My favorite of the three so far. I really can't wait to see what Froakie evolves into.
Now, the legends.
Yet-unnamed "X" legendary: It really does look cool, though it reminds me a lot of Cobalion. I like those antlers, but I'm iffy on the face; the Xs in its eyes weren't really necessary.
Yet-unnamed "Y" legendary: Looks kinda terrifying in flight. It really uses the Y thing well.
And now for the games themselves.
For the 3DS: I'm hearing a lot of complaints about X and Y not being available for the now-outdated DS. My response to those complaints: get over yourselves. The 3DS isn't that expensive anymore, and it's about time the Pokemon series upgraded with the consoles.
A 3D World: These games look like they use 3D graphics quite well, and the battle scenes in in particular have me excited to play these games when they finally come out! Stinks that we're still apparently stuck to a grid system in the overworld, but I'm not gonna cry a river over it.
One World, One Date: It makes me really happy to see that the rest of the world doesn't have to wait while Japan gets the first taste of these games; releasing them in the same month all over the world is definitely a step in the right direction, if you ask me! October's a ways away, but I've been forced to wait longer for things I wanted. So yeah.
That's all for now.
