My parents are f*cking ignorant

Right, I've had it with my parents. They never f*cking listen to what I say and are just overall ignorant, and then later on they get annoyed because they don't know what I'm talking about or they get confused, and then they get me aggravated because they're not listening, and then we get into a massive argument all because of their overall ignorance. And whenever I ask a question to my Dad, he always answers really cruelly because he either A. Answers back really cruelly as if the answer was obvious, B. Groans and says 'how the hell am I supposed to know?' or C. Just outright ignores me like usual, even though it is always a perfectly normal question. He's also a f*cking hypocrite as he always leaves rubbish on the coffee table in the living room, but then shouts at me for leaving it in the kitchen next to the bin.

My Mum also never listens, and as a result of that, she never really understands what I say and just outright ignores it, and then the same thing happens again - I get aggravated because she won't listen to a f*cking thing I say, and then it starts an argument, and always get made to look like the 'bad guy' despite the fact that nothing I do is wrong, and it is in fact their ignorance that starts all the arguments.

It was made even worse today when my parents couldn't be bothered to check if I had my keys or not (which only takes 2 f*cking seconds), and they didn't come back until 4:40, meaning I had to wait for 20 minutes outside. And they don't even care one bit about their faults and makes it out to be my fault, and then my Dad calls me a 'little bastard', which f*cking annoyed me because I don't like people swearing at me, especially my own f*cking parents, and because he's being a hypocrite because if anyone's a 'little bastard', it's definitely him. And they haven't even got the maturity to apologize for not checking if I had keys and swearing at me.

What f*cking awful parents.

...That sounds like it really sucks.

Try ignoring them. See what happens.

Or just talk to them about it. Parents listen when it's serious. Hopefully.

Believe me, they won't listen. They hate being told about their faults.

Minus the listening part. And that still sucks. :(

I'd say to try and talk to them, also. I don't know your whole situation, but from what I do know, you could ask another adult to talk to them about it. Someone who they consider a peer, or a relative. Even a teacher. I'm sure they'd listen to someone of their own age-group.

Forgetting to make sure you had your keys.. (in all honesty, shouldn't you have checked yourself?) isn't the same as not bothering to. If they didn't bother to then that would have immediately reminded them, so not bothering to remember is not the case at all.

However, I'm sorry you're going through this as it is difficult if parents don't listen to you, but many many people your age go through the exact same thing. And a lot of the time it's misunderstanding, and to tell the truth you can't expect them to know 100% what you mean or how you feel all the time. It's unfair to think that of them. Are you thinking of how they feel too?
