That one Dutch guy's blog

If you are reading this then it means I finally succeeded in actually writing a bulbaversary blog for once. And I'm only 1 day late! I was gonna write a bulbaversary blog last year, but failed to finish it in time as I suck with deadlines. Anyway, it's my 4th bulbaversary this year. And as per the tradition started by Ryuutakeshi, that means I am supposed to mass-mention everyone I know and say stuff about them.

So yeah, four years. I've been banned twice, I've been promoted to provisional moderator once, have witnessed the bulbagarden conversational chat thread go through four versions, have seen mafia become popular (a lot say I caused it) and get it its own board because of it, have gotten a board created for side-games only for it to be removed later on, etc. And of course met a lot of people in those four years. Which means it's time to get sappy! And to mass-mention people. Sorry if I didn't write anything about you, it's mainly because I wanted to finish this blog in time avoid finishing this blog later than I have to. ^^" Here we go:

@$aturn¥oshi; You're one of the people I know the longest. From before you even were a moderator. One of the first regulars in the bulbagarden conversational chat thread, or the off-topic thread as it was still called we talked every day. Your fanclub is still the only one I've never beaten in membercount (I've beaten blazaking's at some point but he beat me back).


@Aelita; I don't know when I first knew you, but I didn't knew you well untill mafia games. You're one of the wildest cards around, and due to your unpredictability you can pretty much get away with anything. That doesn't mean you're a bad player though as you do know what you're doing, which makes you great to play with. The worst thing you've ever done was when you were an indep and managed to get the mafia QT for some reason and slowly started getting us killed one by one. x) Also you've proven yourself more psychic than me and all my moments of psychicness in just one post when you correctly named three mafia and one indep, which still amazes me.


@Aladar; The sith lord Aladar. You were one of the people that frequented the off-topic thread when I first visited. Always fun being random with you or talking to you otherwise. You were even the one that started the off-topic group. Besides that you share my love for Tangled. And logically star wars, though you're a much bigger fan of that than me. At some point you stopped visiting the bcct as much though, which was too bad.


@Alex800; No one on bmgf knows who you are. I do though. You are my bmgf partner after all. I don't think I actually knew you before that thing. x) Now I also talk to you on skype daily. You are very random. But that's what makes talking to you fun. You're also the funnest to tease out of everyone in the chat. ;3 You should play a mafia game some time though.


@Aquanova; I remember you as banditkeith. I believe the first time I met you was as a player in my bmgf mafia, where you were one of the most succesful players mainly because everyone else sucked, succesfully protecting people. Besides that I've talked to you a lot in the bcct and played even more mafias with you. Which has all been very fun!


@CrackFox; Funny how you've been on the forums almost as long as me but I never knew who you were untill Frankie added you to the skype chat. And even then I wasn't online for the first couple of days due to playing Paper Mario. Anyway, at least I got to know you after that. You're always great to talk to. I also got you into mafia games, in which you're always a great help to me and my plans (even though you don't always like helping me out). At least I've never backstabbed you in a mafia game. ;3 Also download the free nsmb2 pack before it starts costing money in january you slacker.


@Croag; I knew who you were before I had skype but I never really talked to you. I apparently knew you enough to wish you a happy birthday though. You're always fun to talk to on skype, and sometimes even the only one in the chat who's online (mainly in the mornings). You're also very fun to play mafia with, and iirc the first mafia I played with you was Rayne's MLP mafia, though I might be mistaken. Of course you were also the star-player of KI:U mafia and were likely to win, that was untill sadly you were randomly killed by themissingno. "for lulz". Also though you won't admit it, you're a great artist. :3


@Dewgong Reign; Hey there stoner! I don't think you have ever been really a regular in the chat thread (maybe the first), but you used to pop up once in a while. Besides that I used to see you around on the forums and such. You're a great guy, and the fact I think that is evidenced by the fact I created you a fanclub a long time ago.


@Falcon Doveowl; Like many others on the list I know you from when you were a regular in the bcct. I don't really remember what we used to talk about, but I do remember talking to you was always fun. Also you got me into the best webcomic ever, saturday morning breakfast cereal, for which I thank you.


@FestiveGreen; I don't remember if I knew you before skype. Maybe not. If vm's are to be believed you might be the one that got me to get skype. But maybe I ignored you and I took skype for another reason. I don't really remember. :P You used to be my main rival in Mario Kart 7 untill Axel came along. Now it's sometimes you and sometimes Axel. I still win most of the times though. >:3


@GatoRage; I knew you before skype, but I don't think I ever talked to you. I didn't even send you a vm untill recently, so yeah. At least I talk to you on skype a lot now. And beat you in Mario Kart 7. Though you manage to beat me sometimes. You should try mafia once.


@Ghost; It's not every day I remember a user from when he first signs up. You're actually the only one. x) I remember you from the bcct where you used to post a lot for a while and were fun to talk to. You were also infamous for your many namechanges from greengyarados to green to cobalt to a lot of things. Of course I considered you my rival in gpx+, and partially because of you I once spent an entire day (yes, day) clicking to get the 12500 interactions neccesary for the master clicker achievement. Actually two years ago we were both busy right now finishing up our christmas explorations on that site. xD


@H-con; I also remember you from the earliest days of the bcct, or the off-topic thread as it was still called. It's always fun talking to you. Then some years back joined the army and became a lot less active, but you still popped in every once in a while, or blogged about your experiences which were always interesting to read. You actually have the single most entries in my blog besides me. You're a pretty good racer in Mario Kart 7 too, having a tied score with me in the few races we've had.


@Hallowheart; I first knew you from the blogs where you always used to be in the top 10 of blogs with most total comments. Though I started to know you better from the conversational thread where you posted occasionally. You are always fun to talk to, though you're not as active anymore. Of course you're online on skype occasionally too, on which you tend to mistake me for one of your other friends with the same name as me. :P Also thank you for suggesting I watch Gravity Falls, I did watch it and it's awesome. Can't wait 'till the new episodes.


@Hunter Blade; And another person I remember from the earliest days of the off-topic thread. Your avatar is what initially stood out most to me, the James with the AIDS needle one. You never really posted that much, but you posted occasionally. Which is actually what you still do. You also post in my blog a lot, coming just two entries short of beating H-con. Why you post them all in comic sans though, I have no idea. x) You're also a pretty good artist, judging from your deviantart.


@Ino-Chan; I don't really remember how I met you. I know I've known you for quite a long time though. Talking to you is always fun, even though you're kinda random sometimes, though being random with you is also fun. I forgot if I was responsible for getting you into MLP or not. I like to think I partially am, anyway. :3 Besides that you're also fun to play mafia with, though I think it has been a while since I've been in a game with you. It's too bad you're not as active anymore, but I guess you're busy with work and studying and such. Good luck with both by the way!


@jda95; Like everyone else in the mk7 chat I hardly knew you before it was created. Now that I've talked with you a lot in them, I can't believe in how many things you have an interest. You watch pretty much every show I watch from Community to MLP, play games from Zelda to Animal Crossing, etc. The only thing I remember you weren't interested in was Ace Attorney or Profesor Layton. I recommend you try them sometimes, they're really good. ^^


@J J M; You are one of the first people I met on bmgf, and the third person to vm me. Then much later on you started playing mafia where you were a pretty good player. Now the fun part is I never realised those two JJM's were the same person. x) No idea why not, guess I just never thought it through. One day it clicked though, and I realised I knew you much longer than I initially thought. Your mafia games are always enjoyable, especially the jackie chan ones, thanks to the awesome mechanics.


@Kazooie; Devin, as I just called you due to your many name-changes. You were always fun to talk to, and it was fun to try to find as much ppgz images for you as I could, trying to hone my image-hunting skills. x) Too bad you got banned for some reason and probably won't ever read this. Ah well.


@Kyumorph; Kyu pls. You started the pls infection that still roams the skype chat. It's also Croag's catchphrase now, and her superhero alterego plsgirl's superpower. I think I first knew you in the bcct. Talking to you is always fun, though sometimes random as well. You like some of the same Nintendo series as me too (though from the top of my head I only remember fire emblem, KI:U and VVVVVV), so there's that too.


@mariowie; Out of the few Dutch people on this forum you're the only one I talk to occasionally. You visited the conversational thread occasionally for a while, which is mainly where I talked to you the most. The fact you have ostriches while you live in the Netherlands is something pretty unique. Of course you also play mafia occasionally, which is fun to play with you.


@Mintaka; I remember first talking to you in one of the conversational threads, I think the second one. And then later you joined bmgf mafia II in which you were the jailer and did pretty well I think. It's great talking to you. Even though you don't post as much in the bcct anymore (and neither do I) I still talk to you on skype and through vm's and such (I actually think the longest vm conversation I have with anyone is with you with 26 pages xD). You're also the person I always talk to about Professor Layton and Ace Attorney games among others, since I like to share my excitement about games with people. :3 And now that I'm writing anyway, thanks again for the pepero! They were great.


@Mooites; Out of the 3000+ vm's I have, the first one I got was from you. The first three actually. :3 And you might've been my first friend too, but I don't know how to check for that. Sadly I don't remember much of what we all talked about, but I know I liked you enough to create you your own fanclub.


@Neonsands; I don't think I knew you before the war room was created. So I know you from mafia games. Where I manage to keep getting you killed as an independent for some reason. x) After a while I even feared claiming indep when you were in the game because I thought you'd do everything in your power to try to kill me as an indep for once. :P I always consider you a great ally in mafia games, since you manage to be a great force without ever standing out too much.


@Neosquid; I had never even talked to you untill after your first account got banned. However, with your new account you started visiting the conversational thread where we became friends. You're a great competitive battler, both one-upping my ladder achievements in CC and UU after my hard work of getting to my places. x) Of course you're also a decent mafia player, and we co-hosted Skyward Sword mafia which was fun. Also you're one of the only people on skype that is generally online to discuss MLP episodes with after they air.


@NyaChan; You were also a regular at the conversational thread for a while, meaning I talked to you pretty much every day. Even though we didn't always agree on things (like generation III :P) you were nice to talk to. I also remember you were a great cosplayer. And of course you also did the nuzlocke comics which were quite enjoyable. Also now that I'm talking anyway I'd like to apologise for the times I've been a jerk to you though, it was never on purpose. ^^"


@Pancake-chan; Azure Kite! I first met you right before I was banned for a month, but after that we talked a lot in the conversational thread where you were a regular for a long time. It was always great talking to you. I don't really remember what we used to talk about, but I bet it were a lot of different things. I do remember you were a great artist. With how much you posted I never thought you'd leave, but eventually you did anyway. Ah well.


@Paperhorse; I didn't really get to know you well untill recently, when I got skype. I saw you around before that but didn't really know anything about you. You're a great person to talk to, though I don't think we have a series or videogame or something in common we always talk about like I have with some people. I know I said I'd watch the first episode of lost but I still haven't gotten myself to actually do it. x) Of course you're also always fun to play mafia games with or talk about those with. Also now that I'm typing anyway, thanks again for the christmas card!


@Parma; You are such an old member, going all the way back to 2005. I don't really remember how I met you, but I think it was in one of the conversational threads. I don't really remember which one, but I know you were a regular for a while. Of course after the war room was created I've also played mafia with you a lot. And I think you might have created the most broken role ever even by "broken mafia" standards in Zecora in MLP Mafia. x)


@Phoenicks; You're probably the most feared mafia player on the forum. Probably because you make wallposts which are scary and force people to read which they don't like. And before you used to make them in the war room you used to make them in the soap box, so I guess you just can't help it. It's too bad you weren't in my Kid Icarus: Uprising mafia, I bet you'd have made great use of the shop.


@Preußen; If you weren't banned you'd probably have more posts in the bcct than everyone else combined. Boy could you post fast. Of course you're generally pretty random, which makes talking to you pretty enjoyable overall. Too bad you get banned in a lot of places. Thanks for making me admin in your own forum though, as dead as it is. x) And though I know you'll probably never read this, still, y u never add me as 3DS friend.


@QuestionableTendency; I remember you from the earliest days of the off-topic thread too, even though then you didn't post that much. You started posting more in what I think was the second version of the bcct. You are quite random, though it's quite a unique kind of randomness which I personally find pretty funny. I don't think I've ever had as much fun in the conversational thread as watching you correct KronosClownz on his spelling and his reaction from it. I can't even read back the logs without laughing. x) It was great to have you in the bcct.


@Rayne; I've no idea how I met you. Like no clue. Maybe you posted in the bcct one day? Who knows. You're a great guy though. First war room head too, and thus my boss for a while. You were pretty much the star of the first BMGf Mafia if it wasn't for the fact I put the overpowered Serebii role in it which caused you to die rather quickly. After that you've been a respected and feared mafia player for quite some time, and playing with you is always great. You are reponsible for what I consider a role broken even by "broken mafia" standards though, which is the Zecora role in MLP mafia. :P


@Ryuutakeshi; Donut Boy! You used to post like everywhere on the forums. I don't think anyone didn't know you at some point. You even used to regular the bcct for a while. No wonder you have 30k posts. Of course after you picked the wrong target in a MYLO situation in BMGf mafia and the mafia won the game after that, even though you were pretty sure of the right mafia earlier on. After that you were responsible for the creation of the war room and played and hosted some succesful mafias, which were fun to play.


@Santasis; I always used to remember you as this one random guy that was pretty much always kinda random, so it was pretty weird to see you not be random on skype the first time. I still talk to you on skype a lot when you're online, though that isn't that much recently. You're one of the people I can talk to about Community, if they're ever gonna release season 4 that is. Can't wait for it.


@Scarlet Devil; You certainly change your name a lot, you actually changed it while I was writing this blog. x) I'll always remember you as Shadow Mist though. We first talked in the off-topic thread, though you weren't really a regular there. Talking to you was always fun though. For some reason I then considered you my postcount rival, and of course beat you eventually. Then you beat me again and then I beat you once more and now I'm in the lead. Though I've become pretty much unbeatable for anyone now. :P


@Soulweaver; I first knew you as UltimateSephiroth, though I forgot how I first met you exactly. You used to be sort of my rival on gpx+, though one that was always ahead of me. Thanks to you I've spent an entire day clicking trying to get the master clicker achievement. x) You're also really good at technical stuff and programming, like that time you created the voltorb flip simulation for the pc (90% sure that was you anyway :P). And of course it's thanks to you bmgf has a pokemon online server.


@Sputnik; I haven't gotten to know you well untill recently, but you're fun to talk to. Mainly in the war room chat on skype. Of course I first knew you from mafia games, even though I couldn't tell you apart from Akuraito or even some others. x) You're fun to play mafia games with, though it might help you if you're a bit more assertive when people don't believe you with something. Also you still need to play one of my mafias sometimes, as you didn't sign up for KI:U mafia.


@Steven; I remember you as Darach or Hikaru. You were always great to talk to or discuss things with, and I remember seeing you around the forums. You even sent me an e-mail after I got banned to ask when I would come back, which was awesomely friendly. But then after you got promoted you just left one day, never to return. And then I mean like never. I wonder what the odds are you'll even read this. Ah well.


@TheFlamingBooger; The only guy besides Aiko to post more in the bcct than me. Needless to say you were always great to talk to. Thanks to you I started to show an interest in trying to become better at drawing, though I'm still not much better than drawing stuff in MS Paint (though I do surprise myself sometimes in that). I also think it's quite thanks to you and your pony images showing up in my deviantart watchlist every few days I started watching MLP, a decion I have not regretted. Too bad you're not as active anymore, though I guess you're busy with work and such. Whatever you're doing, good luck with it!


@TheMissingno.; We did not get along well when we first met. Probably because I was 15. I don't think either of us ever really left the chat thread though, so eventually we got along better. :P I think we're both among the top posters in pretty much every new bcct version. Also no idea if it was me who convinced you to play a mafia game after the war room was created, but eventually you became a regular mafia player too which is great. If it weren't for you I think the war room chat on skype would've died multiple times already too, though I guess gotpika tries his best in keeping it alive too (he's just not as succesful).

Of course, there are plenty of more people who made being on bmgf memorable, but for some I wouldn't know what to write, and for others I just don't have the time to write something. For instance all the people I played mafia with at some point. No mafia without fellow players who all make the game enjoyable!
