I have a spare monitor, a spare PCI video card, and I can find room for it. Should I, or would it be too much of a hassle?
I've found three to be more trouble than its worth, tbh. I've got dual 24" 1920x1200 screens, and that seems like more than enough. My card (a Radeon HD5750) supports 3 monitors via ATI"s Eyefinity technology without needing to install another video card, but 2 seems fine to me.
I would. I absolutely love my two screen set-up. I often find that two screens are enough, but I wouldn't say no to a third :3
Out of curiosity, what do people even do with TWO monitors?

Right now I have my main being my browsing and sorts, image editing, etc, and my secondary shows Legendary Pokemon, auto-refreshing for news.
And, I don't know. I might add the third monitor, seeing as my current two are 1366x768 and 1280x1024, the additional would be a 1024x768, and I'd use that for the news, switching graphic design to the secondary.
I asked my dad, who helped me shave off the RAM latch, and he said exactly this: "I was worried you were going to say that." and walked away.

It's a popular setup with gamers, and it also gives you more desktop space to work with for documents or working with video, photos, etc. Originally Posted by immewnity And, I don't know. What I like most about my dual monitors is the uniformity; they're identical models (Samsung 2443BW-HAS). If I were ever to add a 3rd (though like I said, it's a bit too busy for me, personally), I'd want another one of the same; or at least something of the same size and resolution so it would at least look more-or-less the same and present a similar image.
I use my dual monitor set-up to help when I'm trying to dictate some notes or something. For instance, if I'm having to type a rule thread or something, with heavy emphasis on a new article or something, its helpful.
