So, I was just chatting with a few of the other staff, and we came up with an idea to celebrate Father's Day. (This Sunday in the UK and US at least, not sure about other countries.)

I present: DadCon.

The idea is that we all get our dads to join the forums and talk to all of our friends. If you're a competitive battler, get him on Pokemon Online, if you're a Writer's Workshop regular, get him to write some fanfiction, if you're a shipper, get him to pick a pairing and do whatever shippers do once they've done that.

I could get my dad to post about his Pokemon collection! He has several Reshiram figures on his desk.

@Saty - Good point. Users without fathers should convince the first adult male they happen to see on that day to join the forums instead.

My father struggles to even turn on the computer and operating powerpoint is as far as his computing abilities go, so I think I'll have to pass up on this :I

Yeah, there is no way I will be able to get my dad on here as nothing in here interests him enough to discuss. Maybe if the people in the media menagerie actually knew a lot of stuff about keyboards and synthesizers and stuff and had a lot of threads for specifically discussing them and such. Which they don't.

@PkmnWhite; Since it will be Father's Day, I think we ought to take the time to sit by our less technically able fathers and guide them in how to use the forums.
@Mijzelffan; Then DadCon 2012 can serve a dual purpose! Mijzelffan Sr. can be the one to create said threads! He shall be a hero!

Problem is, my dad doesn't have a computer at his place. Which is a shame, because he could probably get into it.
And I can't show my step-dad because then my mom would want to get involved.
