Gama

You may or may not have seen the most terrible thing to happen to the forums in years be announced two days ago. If you haven't, you can find it here: Anyone who has an apostrophe in their username, please read

Needless to say I'm distraught. I'm a strong believer in people not changing their usernames except temporarily for special events (it's like irl friends changing their face - confusing as hell). I also like my username. I pretty much never use my real name online so I consider my username to be the name (and nicknames derived thereof) that my online friends can use and know me by.

I also refuse to just go grammatically incorrect and be "Gastlys Mama".

Essentially, I am asking for help from the people of BMGf. What do you think I should change my username to? I have a few options, but feel free to suggest a new one. (Note: I'm not deciding this on majority vote, I'm just using this blog as an aid, so don't waste your time trying to get friends together to make my username "The Mighty Anus" or something like that.)

Options:

1) GaMa - This is my most commonly used nickname on the forums, created by @Instrutilus; I like this one because it makes it still indicates that my username is "Gastly's Mama" plus basically everyone calls me this anyway. (As I side note, @Red; has made me a sig banner that will say "Gastly's Mama" so it would be, I hope, clear what my true username is wherever I post if I use an appropriate username.)

2) Gama - Obviously very similar to the above. The advantage is that it looks more like a real word and less like a jumble of letters. The disadvantage is that it looks too much like a real word and I think people are likely to just consider that my name without remembering that it is short for something. (Though possibly the sig banner would remedy that, I'm not sure.)

3) G-Mama/G Mama - A nickname that I find hilarious that was created by The Noob who is no longer a part of BMGf. (Let's just say his tenure here ended...) It's not something people actually call me, but it is funny. I also think it is one of those things (like I think my current username is) that sounds absurd and kinda funny when you first hear it, but sounds less funny every time you hear until it eventually just becomes a normal thing. (Think the episode of The Simpsons where Homer has a band - The Beesharps). I also think this gives more of a nod to my username. Of course, I would still welcome and in fact encourage people to call me "GaMa" or "Gama" as they prefer.


And before you suggest it, "Mama of Gastly" has crossed my mind, but it strikes me more as a temporary comedy username because it just sounds a bit stupid.
