Meh. I just watched to hang with girls my age and watch the commercials. American Football and Hockey are still the best sports ever.

I don't really watch it. All I do is gulp the goodies on the end table while everyone else watches it. XD

I'm just not into American football, but I would never say I hate it. Because I don't. I'm indifferent.

I'm sorta with Saturn on this one. American Football's not really exiting or super boring. I flat-out never watch it because of lack of interest.

I'm not talking about disliking football. I totally understand everyone has different tastes, but I know people who speak of the Super Bowl like it is the bane of existence, and that I don't get.

I don't dislike the Super Bowl, and I generally don't watch it, but I don't hate it. I do love that it gives us some of the best commercials of the year.

Some of the things that people choose to do on Super Bowl Sunday do annoy the fuck out of me though, such as when my alcoholic dad is so drunk by early afternoon that he smashes his car, gets arrested, and leaves me here right now waiting on a call so I can drive my grandfather to the jail to bail him out. That's fucking bullshit. Fuck that part of the super bowl mentality that some people have.

People hating in general makes no sense. You don't like it? You don't have to pay attention to it.

I think that I speak for everyone when I say that we could do with more hugging, and less fighting in this world. Even if they're big sweaty men, they deserve to be able to hug each other as much as everyone else.

Plus, teamwork is a beautiful thing. Definitely beats fighting.

I only watch it for the commercials.

Actually, no. I think people who only watch the Super Bowl to see the commercials are weirdos.
I heard people say this today at work (Super Bowl weekend at a grocery store isn't fun at all...super busy, and then super dead, all in one day, and no help since everyone got off early except me) a lot and it's just weird.

I hate the Super Bowl because it takes precious airtime from my favorite shows. I want to watch those shows, then complain about how bad the new seasons/episodes are, and how I intend to quit, despite never actually doing so.

I have many reasons to sincerely and strongly dislike football and other sports.

1. School puts it above education

2. Church relates it to everything from sex to hell

3. Being dragged to the houses of those I dislike/having those I dislike swarm my house because of it

4. Students honestly believe that their missing school for sports should not affect their grades in any way whatsoever


Really, it's not the idea of football that bothers me--it's the way people glorify it and act like it is about to be award the Nobel Peace Prize... it and nearly every other sport.

lol j/k....sorta. I barely pay any attention to any major sports games like this. I rather play them with friends instead of watching them. :\

It's too mainstream, man.

But one of my main qualms with football in general is that my school, like Hallowheart said, puts it above other forms of education (primarily the liberal arts).

This idea comes to a halt when you have parents filling the house with the roar of the stadium from a single TV.

Even thought I am Australia and I am sure there is no Super Bowl here. I don't like sports either, watching it that is. I am perfectly fine going out and playing it myself because well that's not boring.

Odd thing is if I had a couple of guy friends who were planning to order pizza and watch a football game I would probably join them, no not because of football or whatever, just because well it would make me feel normal or for companionship. And the pizza XD
