(just remembered I was a member of this blog)

other than the Sox, Yankees and Rays, that is. They play in the most difficult division in the Major Leagues right now, but i suppose it's fair that you put all the good teams in one league, rather than split them up and have a Rays, Yankees and Red Sox win their division every time.

I also find it amusing that the 3rd place team in American league east has a better and/or the same record as some first place teams in other divisions.

anyway, back to the best team in baseball, the red sox. 4.5 games down, with 13 more games against Tampa and the Yankees. Easily still in contention, so don't count us out. and that's with 16 players on the disabled list.

Oh, and Jacob, the Reds still suck. You still won't win the Series. 8D

i leave you with this.

I feel worse for the Blue Jays. They're 10 games over .500 and they're still miles behind.

    The following stats disagree:

I will agree that it sucks for everyone in the AL East except the Rays and Yanks and Sox... but there is only one team out of those three I'd bet against if they happened to face the Reds who happened to make it to the Series. Guess who?

Also, it wasn't so much "sticking all the good teams in one division"... I mean, remember when the (Devil) Rays were the joke of the MLB? Divisions shift in power, but always remain region based:

As of now, the Sox would win 3 of the other 5 divisions and would have the NL wild card locked up as well.

    Stupid Yankees and Stupid Rays...
