It seems that, as a Liberal, I’m expected to support the “Occupy Wall Street”/”I Am The 99%” movement without question. And if I do question it, well fuck me, I must hate poor people and blow the rich.
But you see, I’ve never been the type to not question something. Y’all can be blind followers if you want, but I use my brain sometimes. Not to mention, I typically don’t like to join/support large groups like these because I don’t want to be tied to it when it inevitably
For all those saying CM Punk must be a homophobe because he called a fan a “homo” at a (non-televised) house show, allow me to point out two things:
CM Punk is currently a heel (a “bad guy” in pro wrestling). He isn’t supposed a good guy. Calling a fan a “homo” sounds like something a dick would do. As such, it seems he is doing his job.He is obviously not a homophobe, as evidenced by this tweet, in response to some dude
Usually anything I post here about anything non-Pokemon goes on my Tumblr as well. It seems I never posted this, my response to the Tracy Morgan "controversy", here. A bit too much time has passed for it to be terribly topical, but what the hell, here it is (I decided to try to be creative and write it in the form of a letter, I'm not sure if it worked or not, but I don't care):
They are my fellow liberals, justifying their hate as hating hate. Using words like "bigot", "repulsive", "disgusting", "vile", etc. as blanket descriptions to describe even the smallest of "discrimination".
Oooh, you can repeat a Simon Cowell criticism, you're a real humanitarian.
You're just like the religious you slam; you don't really care about these people. You use your ideology to hate them with the same passion
Everyone is allowed to be proud of what they were born as other than white, American men. We live with a different requirement; constantly feel ashamed because other people who populate your label(s) did mean things once.
Now, while that is a bullshit hypocrisy in and of itself, I don't give a shit about that one, and what really pisses me off here is ethnic/country/sexual/etc. pride in general.
Pride is something you feel after you accomplished something that took at least
