Typing this from the past

It looks like a good flashback, the problem is some people are twisting it out to be more important than it actually is. I've literally seen people say the writers are going to bring Misty/Brock back to the main cast because of this brief throwaway flashback sequence of Charizard.

I mean what did they expect the writers to do? Show Charmander flashbacks and somehow not show Misty/Brock even though they were in the episodes?

Its almost like people completely forget that Misty hasn't appeared in an episode in literally 7 years and two generations back in 2005.

I miss a good flamewar. I will carry my anime infractions around like badges of honor XD

Looking forward to this episode and seeing how the flashback is put together. I'm sure it'll make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I have no desire to debate this topic.

People haven't forgot. The average Misty fan is all too aware of how long it's been since we last saw her, that's why it creates such a buzz when little things like this crop up. You seem to be determined to rain on the parade.

Well the hype is really about Charizard's return, I think all the people know Misty/Brock's scenes in the flashback will be extremely brief. Its just the people twisting this news into something it isn't that irks me. I'm not talking about anyone here on Bulbagarden, I notice it when I lurk around various twitters, tumblrs and fan accounts that are just hearing this news.

I have to actually explain to them that Misty/Brock aren't actually showing up, and that they're only being shown in the flashbacks to Charmander's eps in Kanto.
