Well you know some people will start speculating about the character return, but unless anything happens in the anime, I will be around to bring things back to reality.

It actually sounds like every old Gym leader might be re-appearing, so if that's the case I wouldn't expect it to carry over into the anime at all. Don't forget Brock is no longer a Gym leader in the anime, Giovanni is still a criminal, Gary is a researcher instead of a Gym leader, I can't see this really affecting the show at all.

As for Misty, you'd think after HGSS did nothing to give her an appearance last gen, I doubt this will.
