IGN has their review posted for New Super Mario Bros. Wii and gave it an 8.9. I’m okay with most the criticism of the game (like no on-line play, can’t save levels that you played, even though the developers got to do it with their in-game Super Guide).

The one criticism I didn’t care for was the comparison to Super Mario Galaxy. This game isn’t the successor to Super Mario Galaxy; it’s the successor to New Super Mario Bros. Just like Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be the true successor to Super Mario Galaxy. It’s really an as the cliché goes, “An Apples to Oranges comparison”. Still, good review overall and I can’t wait for the game’s release this Sunday.
