For the record, I'm pretty sure that "paparazzi" is the plural form of some other word. I don't know what the singular is, and I'm not all that interested.
Hey, rice balls! And they were correctly referred to! Why 4Kids would keep coming up with different names for them is beyond me, as anyone with a two-digit IQ score can figure out what a rice ball is just from the name. (If Paris Hilton is reading this, it's a ball made of rice. Got it now?)
Okay, it's almost surprising that an image of Brock getting shot would get past the censors. Maybe because it was just Ash's imagination. And nice to see his defensive instincts working perfectly.
Hey, Shutterbug--before you get on Ash's case for attacking you, how do you think a scope sticking out from the bushes would be interpreted? And for the record, the Blastoise mask was part of another joke that got lost in translation. Multinationalism can be a bitch sometimes, huh?
Shutterbug's photo of Aerodactyl was a nice callback to "Attack of the Prehistoric Pokemon," but you'd think a world-renowned photographer could've done better than a slightly blurred silhouette. I'll bet that pic went right up there with his shots of UFOs, Bigfoot, and the Loch Ness Monster.
I guess food would be as good a peace offering as anything. (Would be for me.) And now we know--Pika's camera-shy. (That Thundershock couldn't have been good for the camera.)
A picture of one Eevee licking another--go ahead, squeee at will.
So Shutterbug was commissioned by the TRio in disguise. And James actually got to play a man for once. Guess he's not always a gender-bender. Of course, between what Shutterbug thought and the TRio really wanted--what we have here is...failure...to communicate.
I think Ash just had too much fun foiling Shutterbug's attempts to snap Pikachu.
Holy holes, Batman! I guess Shutterbug wasn't quite smart enough to start connecting any dots as to where that pitfall came from. And kinda jerky of him to want to take Pika's pic before pulling Our Gang out. He was willing to risk his camera to save Ash a bit later, though. (Though I'm pretty sure the thing was waterproof.)
Clever of Ash to use the camera and the TRio's vanity to screw them up. And talk about karma--they almost made Ash go down a waterfall, and they ended up going over one themselves.
So did Pika get over his camera-shyness? He's never had a problem with them since this ep.
Next: Ash goes back to school. Again.
