Nice to start with a mother-daughter bit b/w Misty and Togepi. (And nice for giving Shutterbug's camera a good workout.)

IMHO, the breeding center commercial went way overboard with the "love power" talk. Enough to set off the "Danger, Will Robinson!" alarms. And with the way Brock was reacting, was it because he was anticipating an ep with actual Pokemon breeding going on or did he think Cassidy was cute? (Which, in his mind, may have led to breeding of a slightly different kind.)

I guess getting rid of Psyduck's cluelessness would be the ultimate test of a breeding center's abilities. On a side note, I wonder how long Misty planned on leaving him there, especially considering Ash must've been chomping at the bit to get to Cinnabar Island.

Ash was unusually on the mental ball for figuring that an "all you can eat free" offer would come with some string attached. And naturally, it involved Psyduck. (And I noticed that in this ep, Psyduck was neither comic relief nor deus ex migrane, but merely a plot device.) As a side note, the ice cream was originally something else in Japanese, but I forgot what it was, and TPTB got away with it because hardly anyone in America would've recognized it.

If the breeding center was a front for illegal Pokemon trafficking, why did they leave so many doors unlocked? And Shutterbug got to do something useful--collecting photo evidence.

So Boss Blofeld gave Cassidy and Bud the assignment because he couldn't trust the TRio? Makes sense. (And as for the running joke about Bill's name, that apparently won't start until at least their next appearance.) And why were Our Gang so afraid of Bob catching them? Bulbasaur could've hog-tied and Stun-Spored him before he knew what was happening.

If Misty really wanted to get Psyduck out of his cage, she could've just recalled him. And Our Gang was doing so well in the clear-thinking department...

So Blofeld didn't tell the TRio about this for fear that they'd screw it up, and they still screwed it up. Figures. And when exactly did James get a Weepinbell to leave there?

Back to Our Gang no longer thinking properly: when everyone except Misty got caged, Shutterbug should've given her the camera and told her to scram. Although the non-rationality was pretty contagious--Bubba really should've destroyed the camera as soon as he took it, not stashed it away.

I guess Jenny Clone #15 was too excited about making up for her clone batch's overall ineptitude to listen to Ash or run a further investigation. Someone really oughta make them all watch a marathon of CSI or NCIS and have them take copious notes. Although we never learn what legal rights people have in Poke-Earth, do we?

Too bad we couldn't have had the Mission: Impossible theme when Pika was sneaking around. However, given that Cassidy saw Misty twice yesterday (with Psyduck and in the warehouse), shouldn't she have seen through Misty's lame disguise? Or does Poke-Earth have a serious opthamology problem?

One of Shutterbug's pics was of Squirtle with the Squad Shades. Just pointing that out.

So all Cassidy and Bert had to battle with was a Raticate? Suddenly they looked a lot less intimidating.

So Shutterbug's Recurring Character Contract expired? Ah well...

Next: Ash meets The Riddler.
