If you're into the Pokémon anime, I really recommend checking out the Suede reviews of the Pokémon movies. There's only two of them so far (the second one released just today), sadly, but they're definitely worth a watch in my opinion!

I just love how much they know about the original Japanese version, the games, the fandom... It's really nice to watch a review about the Pokémon anime that isn't full of worn-out jokes, ignorance or nostalgiagoggles-ism. Heck, they even mention the original version of the "opposite sex" line from the second movie, which I personally really approved of. But yeah, these guys know their stuff because they are fans just like us, so definitely give them a try! :D

    Anyways, I like their reviews and how well informed they actually are. My issue with NC's review was that he was getting into something that he knew little of and where there was much more to it than just a movie. I mean, Pokemon has it's own Wiki so there was bound to be stuff he'd miss. His mistakes and ignorance left a bad taste in my mouth. Comedy or not, when you're reviewing and critiquing a movie, coming off as ignorant about the source material the movie's based on is never good. And how he said, "This Pokemon movie is bad so I'll never see Pokemon" was pretty unfair. Imagine being a Star Wars fan and a non-fan says he hates them because he saw the prequels first and they put him off.

    I guess I'm just saying that somethings deserve second chances.
