And I'll likely need your help. Now, this isn't some regular Bulbagarden Nuzlocke schtick, I'm actually using it for a project of mine, which I'll, of course, be sharing here.

Here's the basic gist: It's set in Johto with a boy named Mitsuru (Yeah, I know, super creative. Sue me.) taking the place of Ethan. Like typical Nuzlocke comics, the main character has the ability to talk to Pokémon.
Because I find it interesting, the main character has some sort of social phobia and doesn't really like to be near Pokémon (think of Tory from Destiny Deoxys, except with less walruses).

So anyway, I will be taking name suggestions, with conditions. While naming Pokémon after other users is cute and all, it's over-used, so I would rather you guys to be creative about what you suggest. Themes, in particular, would be good. (For example, if you suggest Medieval poets, I might name one "Chaucer".)
I could also take specific name requests for certain Pokémon.

I haven't determined when I'll be posting the Nuzlocke dealio, but I've chosen my starter, Chikorita. You guys can try to convince me otherwise (not "u shuld choos cindaqwil cuz its totlly cool"), but I think it would fit well for the character.

For a Caterpie, Oberon or Titania. Maybe a Shakespearean theme?

Also, I say Cyndaquil is a better choice, since there aren't many great Fire-types to chose from. But if you have Nuzlocke experience, then I'd say go ahead with the Chik.

I love Chikorita and its evos. Actually, the Chikorita line is my favorite Johto starter line. It's at a disadvantage more often than the other two when taking on the Johto gyms, but between the other Pokémon you'll catch and level grinding, I don't think it's difficult to use in a Nuzlocke.

I'm not sure what you like exactly, but one theme I had thought of using myself (when I was really into Nuzlockes) was naming Pokémon after genera, famous scientists, other science nerd stuff.

For example, Linnaeus/Linne for any plant/animal Pokémon (Carl Linnaeus/von Linné studied both plants and animals and is the father of modern taxonomy). Copernicus or Ptolemy would be interesting for a Pidgey or Hoothoot (both men were, among other things, astronomers).
