So I was training my h Poke today in Red.

Just for the hell of it. I was training it on Cinnabar Island's coast after visiting Pokemon Mansion, so I'd find stuff like Ponyta and Koffing on the water. And for even more fun, I was using nothing but h Poke's Metronome. This is what I've learned from my experience.
*Back then, Metronome had no problem calling up moves its user already knows. I knew this already, of course, but still, seeing h Poke Metronome no fewer than three Confuse Rays when it already knows that move is a little frustrating.
*Metronome seems (at least to me) to favor the moves Petal Dance and Ice Punch. I've gotten those two quite a bit. In addition, the subsequent turns of Petal Dance mimic the additional turns of Thrash perfectly. I know- I've gotten Thrash at least twice through Metronome as well.
*If the first hit of Rage is a critical hit, all subsequent hits will be as well. Either that, or h Poke got extraordinarily... I hesitate to say "lucky", because the Attack boosts from Rage did nothing due to the constant critical hits. Remember they took absolutely no stat changes into account, beneficial or otherwise.
Oddly enough, I've been doing this for a while now, and h Poke has never called up Splash through Metronome. Seriously.
