MM's Fantastic Nuzlocke Run Part 0- Introduction

What's up? I am, as usual, Missingno. Master. And I think the time has come for me to do a Nuzlocke run through one of my numerous Pokémon games. Might help to pass the time during the agonizingly long wait for Black and White to come out. I shall be using my Ruby version to do this, and here are the rules I shall follow.
1: If a Pokemon faints, it is dead. I can either release it or deposit it in a PC box labeled "DEAD", never to be used again.
2: I can only catch the first Pokemon that I find in any given area. The four quarters of the Safari Zone and the different floors of caves each count as a different area for this purpose. An exception will be made for Routes 101 and 103, as I am forced to pass through them before getting the Pokedex. In those cases, I will be restricted to the first Pokemon I find after obtaining Poké Balls.
3: I will catch shinies and legendaries regardless of whether or not they're the first thing I encounter on a route, but they will automatically be ineligible for the Nuzlocke run. If a legendary or shiny is my first encounter on a route, it will not count as the first encounter.
4: I can breed for something, but only if I haven't already caught something on the daycare route, and I can only take the first egg ever offered.
5: Eggs count as being from the area in which they were recieved, not where they were hatched.
6: Blacking out does NOT = game over, as long as I have other non-dead Pokemon in reserve. Losing everything, however, DOES = game over.
7: Due to the rarity of this situation, Mirage Island will not count as part of Route 131.
I will be starting this shortly, and will probably post tonight on my progress thus far. Wish me luck!
