Martonimos rants about games, toys, or whatever's on his mind at the moment. Which is mostly games and toys. So... yeah.
I've been a fan of Alan Dean Foster's work for a while now, although I haven't picked up any of his books in a few years. So when I found out he was writing all the Transformers Movieverse books, I was interested. I mostly read Ghosts of Yesterday and later The Veiled Threat because The Reign of Starscream piqued my interest in the Movieverse's ancillary fiction. Both were good, albeit not stellar. But when ROTF came out, and got a 20% rating on Rotten Tomatoes (normally I give movies the benefit ...
The original Transformers DS game(s) had their fair share of flaws, but they were fun. Like, really fun. And really, fun is what a game needs to be; your shiny game with a great soundtrack isn't going anywhere if it's not any fun to play. Transformers: Autobots and Decepticons were two games that emulated the Grand Theft Auto style of gameplay, only rather than steal the car, you turn into it. I really enjoyed the games, especially the Decepticon version, which brought in an interesting ...
Please note that the following blog entry should be read at high speeds. A very interesting thing happened to me during my lunch break. Despite knowing I was going to have a lunch break, for which one traditionally packs a lunch (to be eaten during the lunch break, you see), I did not prepare a lunch ahead of time, and thus was deprived of any of the joy usually related to turkey sandwiches, or string cheese, or cranberry juice, the three components which primarily compose most of ...
I am buying the Metroid Prime Trilogy on Wii. Yes, I've played and pretty much gotten 100% on all three games already (I need a few more friend credits on MP3; I'm bad at making friends, so it'll probably be a while yet). But this is a pretty good deal, three games for $50, especially when MP3 is fetching nearly that much even two years after its release. Still it is $50 for three games I have already. Yes, I'll get advanced control and achievements (both of which make me a happy Martonimos), but ...
I'm bored, and that "1" floating next to my "blog entries" was looking a little weird, so I figured I'd post a list of the Transformers toys I currently want, regardless of whether they're upcoming or older than dirt. Bear with me, folks; this will take a while. Device Label Blaster. The original Blaster was obscenely huge. Normally, a transfan has to be able to forgive scale issues, but I'm getting Blaster as a complement to my Soundwave, so having one tower above ...
