We're close to the edge-err..end...

Ice type. The worst type defensively, only resisting itself while weak to the common Fire, Rock and Fighting. It's also weak to steel, but steel isn't really common.

Offensively on the other hand, it's quite good. Many non-ice types can learn some ice moves which is really great when wanting to nullify a weakness (such as Water<Grass). It's also the only type effective against Dragon, so an Ice type move, for me, is a must have.

Physical: Ice Punch

Special: Blizzard


Blizzard is my favorite Ice move. Full stop. Though its accuracy is doubtful, but when it's hailing, it becomes a beast. So in short: Blizzard+Hail+120 power=Instant doom.

It was tough to choose a Physical Ice move, they're all great (save for what I have in the worst). I was torn between Ice Punch and Icicle Crash. Icicle crash is great but Ice Punch for me is better. Similar to what I said with Lick in the Ghost entry, Freezing beats flinching any day.

Worst:

Physical: Icicle Spear

Special: Frost Breath


Icicle Spear was weak with only 10 as its base power. Come Gen V its power has been raised by 15. And it's still weak. I used Icicle Spear once with Shellder and quickly replaced it. :/

Frost Breath or Powder Snow? I chose Frost Breath. It's great in that it always ends in a critical hit but that's all its got. It's like only good for one second.
